Diesel Farm confirms its momentum in hospitality and events with a new food and wine event. After welcoming the public to Cantine Aperte this past weekend, and as the Harvest Festival, scheduled for September 27th, approaches, the Marostica estate is opening the doors of its Chalet to an exclusive experience created by Japanese chef Sachi Matsumoto , scheduled for Friday, October 2, 2026 , and reserved for just 40 guests.
The gastronomic offering will be built around select ingredients and raw materials , imported specifically from Japan for the occasion . This one-off event is designed to combine the authenticity of Japanese culinary tradition with the intimate and private atmosphere of the Chalet, nestled in the hills of Marostica.
The menu will be accompanied by a selection of Diesel Farm and Josetta Saffirio wines , sparking a dialogue between two distant food and wine cultures united by the same dedication to quality. Josetta Saffirio, a historic Barolo winery based in Monforte d'Alba, is part of the Brave Wine family, along with Benanti and Diesel Farm itself, Renzo Rosso 's project uniting some of the most iconic Italian wine regions, from the Langhe to Mount Etna and the hills of Marostica.
Diesel Farm was born from a vision of sustainable agriculture deeply rooted in the local area. Over the years , the estate has combined its winemaking activities with an increasingly comprehensive hospitality program , offering initiatives that showcase the Vicenza region, wine culture, and an authentic, informal style of hospitality. This includes events that, while varying in format, share the same goal of creating opportunities for encounters and discovery through food and wine. The dinner prepared by Sachi Matsumoto represents a new step in this journey, transforming the Chalet into a place of dialogue between Japanese gastronomic culture and Italian wines.
Sachi Matsumoto is known for her Sachiful Kitchen project, which develops cooking classes, recipes, consultations, and food events in Japan. Her work stems from ongoing research into food culture and the desire to make it accessible, contemporary, and shareable.
The October 2nd event is the first in a series of initiatives that will bring professionals and interpreters of Japanese food culture to Diesel Farm. A second event is already planned for November, featuring a Japanese chef and a more contemporary offering.
With events of varying formats and content, Diesel Farm continues to strengthen its role as a meeting place where wine, food, and hospitality become elements to narrate the region and create authentic moments of sharing. This vision finds expression both in events related to the Farm and on special occasions like the dinner prepared by Sachi Matsumoto.
