Collio Day 2014

A real journey to the discovery of wine and of the cuisine of a corner of Friuli Venezia Giulia, that will color yellow the cities of Milan, Padua, Venice, Bologna, Florence, Rome, Naples and Bari.



In the wine stores of Slow Food in the Italian main cities, on November 27th, the producers of the Collio will offer their labels for tasting: from the local Friulano and Ribolla Gialla, to Collio Bianco, a blend symbol of the territory, up to Pinot Grigio grown in the Collio for more than 170 years. The wines will be paired with dishes and cuisine from Friuli, which will see the participation of the Consortium for the Protection of the Montasio DOP Cheese and of Friultrota with the San Daniele Smoked trout, partner of the initiative. In addition, in some selected restaurants in the various cities, dinners with menus dedicated to the wines and cuisine of the Collio will be organized.



MILAN – The involved venues are La Cieca of Via Carlo Vittadini, La Salumeria del Vino of Via Raffaello Sanzio, Vino al Vino of Via Gaspare Spontini, Dal Vinattiere of Via Clusone. Moreover, at the Cucina dei Frigoriferi Milanesi restaurant of Via Piranesi and the Evo restaurant in Via Friuli dinners with a menu dedicated to the wines and cuisine of the Collio of Gorizia will be organized by reservation.

Testimonial for the territory, in Milan, will be the companies: Ronco Blanchis, Blazic, Fruscalzo Bruno, Humar, Zuani, Tenuta Borgo Conventi, Muzic, Drius, Marco Felluga–Russiz Superiore, Castello di Spessa, Villa Russiz, Livon, Subida di Monte, Fiegl.



PADUA – The involved venues will be the Wine and Gourmet store of Via degli Zabarella and La Cantinetta of Via B. Arnaldo. In addition, at the La Montecchia restaurant of Selvazzano Dentro (Pd), a well–known venue of the Alajmo family, and at the Wine and Gourmet store dinners with a menu dedicated to the wines and cuisine of the Collio of Gorizia will be organized by reservation.

Testimonial for the territory will be the following companies: Borgo Conventi of Farra d’Isonzo, Venica & Venica of Dolegna del Collio, Terre del Faet of Cormons and Gradis’ciutta of San Floriano del Collio, Skok, Buzzinelli, Ronchi Rò, Muzic.



VENICE – The involved venues will be the Estro Vino & Cucina wine store in Dorsoduro, Schiavi – Antico Cantinone in Dorsoduro and Dock dall’Ava in San Marco.

In the Estro Vino & Cucina and Dock dall’Ava venues, moreover, dinners with a menu dedicated to the wines and cuisine of the Collio of Gorizia will be organized by reservation. Testimonial for the territory will be the following companies: La Rajade, Formentini, Pighin, Primosic, La Ginestra, Pascolo, Caccese, Ca’ Ronesca, Orzan, Tenuta Borgo Conventi, Sgubin, Angoris, Carlo di Pradis.



BOLOGNA – The involved venues will be the Tumedei wine store–wine bar of Via degli Ortolani 77 and the Zampa wine store of Via A. Costa 127/a. In addition, at the Bentivoglio winery of Via Mascarella 4/b, a dinner with a menu dedicated to the wines and cuisine of the Collio of Gorizia will be organized by reservation. Testimonial for the territory, in Bologna, will be the following companies: Roncùs of Capriva del Friuli, Tenuta Villanova of Farra d’Isonzo, Humar of San Floriano del Collio as well as Edi Keber, Branko and Carlo of Pradis, all of Cormons.



FLORENCE – The involved venues will be La Divina Enoteca wine shop of Via Panicale. In addition, at the I 5 Sensi of Via Pier Capponi a dinner with a menu dedicated to the wines and cuisine of the Collio of Gorizia will be organized by reservation.

Testimonial for the territory, in Florence, will be the following companies: D.Turco, Tenuta Borgo Conventi, Zuani, Gradisciutta and Ferruccio Sgubin.



ROME – The involved venues will be the L’Angolo Divino wine store of Via dei Balestri, the Al Grammelot wine store of Via Giacinto Carini, the Il Vino del ’99 wine store of Via Ludovica Albertoni, the Trimani wine store of Via Goito. In addition, at the Monteverde inn of Via Pietro Cartoni a dinner with a menu dedicated to the wines and cuisine of the Collio of Gorizia will be organized by reservation.

Testimonial for the territory, in Rome, will be the following companies: Marco Felluga – Russiz Superior, Roncada, Sgubin Ferruccio, Picech, Conti Formentini, ColleDuga, Blazic.



NAPLES – The involved venues will be the Mercadante wine store of Piazza Amedeo and the L’Ebbrezza di Noè wine store of Via Vetriera a Chiaia. In addition, at the Antica Cantina di Sica restaurant of Via Bernini a dinner with a menu dedicated to the wines and cuisine of the Collio of Gorizia will be organized by reservation.

Testimonial for the territory, in Naples, will be the following companies: Korsic Rodlofo, Ronco Scagnet, Battistuta, Cumar, Norina Pez, Toros, Gradis’ ciutta, Blazic and Tiare.



BARI – The venues involved will be the Vinarius De Pasquale wine store of Viale Europa and the Cucumazzo wine store in Viale Japigia. Moreover, at the Osteria PerBacco of Via Abbrescia a dinner with a menu dedicated to wines and cuisine of the Collio of Gorizia will be organized by reservation.
