Bergamo, 15 October 2020 - NutriMenti Alla Carrara will start in Bergamo in a few days | Gastronomic Culture Meetings , a review of events and tastings in which numerous personalities from the world of wine, gastronomic criticism and material culture will participate, organized by the Luigi Veronelli Permanent Seminar and the Carrara Academy .

The cultural event, after two successful editions in Venice at the Giorgio Cini Foundation , arrives for the first time in the city where Luigi Veronelli lived and worked for a long time, seat of the Veronelli Seminary : a sign of concrete proximity to a territory particularly affected painful from the covid-19 emergency. An opportunity to look to the future together starting from the common gastronomic and cultural heritage.

NutriMenti will be hosted by the marvelous rooms of the Accademia Carrara , from Thursday 22 to Sunday 25 October . There are three lines along which the program develops: SYNESTESIE, paths between art, wine and music; TASTINGS, tastings "in the form of a story" of liquid masterpieces created by the best Italian winemakers; DIALOGUES, public meetings on current events and material culture.

The official presentations of the cultural review, which will also be attended by the Mayor of Bergamo Giorgio Gori, will be followed by the first, eagerly awaited appointment with the official presentation of the Gold Guide I Vini di Veronelli 2021 , the first guide to Italian wines, born from the long editorial journey inaugurated in the fifties by the greatest critic and taster of the twentieth century. The Director of the Veronelli Seminary Andrea Bonini and the Curators Andrea Alpi, Gigi Brozzoni, Marco Magnoli and Alessandra Piubello will tell enthusiasts and professionals about the 2021 edition, with the "state of the art" of the wine sector.

The presentation will become a concrete experience with the guided tasting I Sole della Guida: stories of wines and people . An opportunity to get to know the ten wines awarded the editorial special prize, labels that represent the competence, creativity and commitment of Italian winemakers.

In ASSAGGI there will be a double homage to the father of Italian wine criticism: Luigi Veronelli, a biography in six glasses . Two events in which tastings, readings and stories will be inspired by the intellectual Veronelli, gastronome and friend of many winemakers and producers, many of whom have become a symbol of Italian excellence. Special guests will be Maurizio Zanella , president of Cà del Bosco and founding member of the Veronelli Seminary (Thursday 22, 6.00 pm) and Vittorio Capovilla , Artisan and distillation artist (Saturday 24, 6.00 pm).

In the union between art and wine, which marks the entire path of NutriMenti , on Thursday 22 October there will be Synaesthesia , art tasting and oenological masterpieces . From 9.00 pm, in the halls of the Permanent Collection of the Accademia Carrara , an itinerant dialogue will be held between five extraordinary works of art and the five Best Tastings , the best wines of the Gold Guide I Vini di Veronelli 2021, real leaders of Italian viticulture .

Friday at 21.00, again for SINESTESIE, The wine designer | Creativity, graphics and oenological excellence , images and tastings in memory of Giacomo Bersanetti, great graphic artist and designer, who died prematurely a few months ago. With Chiara Veronelli and the SGA Wine Design team , Giacomo has dedicated his life to translating the meaning of wine into a graphic sign: with the contribution of Zeno Bersanetti, Art Director SGA Wine Design , five great wines will be tasted, deepening each project graphic.

Saturday 24 October opens with the DIALOGUES section. At 3.00 pm Patrizio Roversi , TV presenter and specialist disseminator on agri-food issues, will lead the public meeting Culture, food and pandemic: everything went well? . Eating acts and cultural habits have been profoundly shaken by the isolation, distancing and closure that have characterized (and characterize) the pandemic in progress. What changes in home kitchens, restaurants, museums, newsrooms, places of culture in general? In which direction are we walking and what new paths can we imagine? Roversi will talk with Andrea Bonini , Director of the Veronelli Seminary ; M. Cristina Rodeschini, Director of the Carrara Academy Foundation ; Alberto Capatti , historian of gastronomy; Maria Vittoria Dalla Cia , Editor-in-Chief The Italian Cuisine ; Aldo Colonetti , philosopher and historian of design; Ilaria D'Uva owner of D'Uva Firenze.

Sunday 25 October Artusi, Veronelli & C .: talking and writing about food . How is food told and communicated in Italy and outside our geographical and sectoral borders? Authoritative voices will discuss it publicly: Rachel Roddy , journalist for The Guardian ; Daniele Cassandro , journalist of Internazionale ; Ilaria Bussoni , philosopher and coordinator of the Master Food Humanities at the Roma Tre University and Alberto Capatti , historian of gastronomy.

The Sunday program will continue at 6.00 pm with the vertical Fèlsina tasting: selection of historical vintages of the most important wines of Fèlsina, a true myth of Tuscan enology, as well as a reality with a high social and environmental sensitivity. Special guest will be Giuseppe Mazzocolin , mind and soul of the company. The tastings, conducted by Gigi Brozzoni , curator of the Gold Guide I Vini di Veronelli , will be accompanied by literary suggestions by Simonetta Lorigliola of the Veronelli Seminary .

The review closes with an exceptional appointment: Titian for meditation . The meeting between Vecellio's works and three great meditation wines, on the last day of the exhibition of the canvas Mars, Venus and Love on loan from the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna.
