Cavit is a company deeply rooted in the region it belongs: Trentino. A small area of north–eastern Italy where the vine, olive trees and Mediterranean vegetation coexist with spruces and larches of the Alpine flora. A land of ancient traditions and culture, where the presence of man with villages, castles and cultivated terraces blends harmoniously with the majestic Alpine landscapes.
The image that best represents Cavit, a large cooperative composed of many small craft realities, that of the vine that produces healthy grapes only if the roots and other plant parts play their role.
Founded in 1950 to meet the needs of the winemakers of the region to offer their wines of the highest quality and in a modern way, today represents more than 4,500 vinegrowers associated with 11 wineries and 60% of the wine production in Trentino (around 5,500 hectares). Cavit harvests, examines and selects its raw materials from the best produce of the social cooperatives members, which undergoes strict inspection at each stage: from fining to bottling.
