Owned by the Fontana family in the Sixties, LA PICCOLA ESTATE is located in the heart of Emilia, between the provinces of Reggio Emilia and Parma.
The company consists of a single body of 25 hectares, all of property, entirely grown with vines and organic. The production area is particularly suited; on the Reggio banks of the river Enza, at an altitude of 105 meters above sea level. Our soils have the best climatic and geological features, to whom we owe the high quality of the wine we produce.
The turning point towards high quality was implemented in the nineties, when Mr. Licinio Fontana, returning from a trip to Burgundy and other journeys between Tuscany and South Tyrol, understood to have to change the estate, implementing the most stringent production parameters to obtain high quality wines. Yesterday mocked by fellow producers, today guiding light for many companies that recognize the LA PICCOLA ESTATE style, the winner style. The other winning bet was the formation of a team of men, who, through their work, have allowed the realization of the project.
