The young company, founded in 1999, covers almost twenty hectares of vineyards, mostly planted with canopy management, inherited from Rocco Galasso, father of Adriana (very close relatives of the famous dynasty of the Abruzzo wine). The cru is Montepulciano d’Abruzzo. The soil of calcareous/clayey origins has always been grown organically. The harvest takes place between September and October, when one thousand five hundred tons of grapes, healthy and intact, are collected in the vineyard in various subsequent steps (up to 5) only when perfectly ripe, and are further selected manually on the drive roller which leads to the fermenters where they become Cocciapazza or Mazzamurello, a fresh Five Clusters Ais 2010.

The bottles of Fausto and Adriana are climbing the charts of all the guides and magazines of the industry, receiving prestigious accolades especially for Montepulciano Mazzamurello. I rather want to dwell on two wines that surely do not live of reflected light.
