Via Monticello, 13

Crossed by the ancient Via Francigena, which in the Middle Ages brought pilgrims from Canterbury to Rome, and surrounded by two national parks, that of the River Taro and that of Carrega Woods, Monte delle Vigne is surrounded by the harmonious landscape of the rolling hills of Parma, about 250 meters above sea level. The ancient route taken by pilgrims is the boundary between the vineyards exposed to the east, Malvasia and Sauvignon, and the red ones of the west side, Barbera and Bonarde. On the plans, finally, you find Merlot, Chardonnay and characteristic Lambrusco and with them the new cellar, underground, with gravitational crushing, perfectly integrated in the surrounding environment and designed to achieve the highest quality result from what nature can offer.

Sixty hectares of vineyard in the heart of the DOC Colli di Parma, with exhibitions that allow the grapes on different sides of the privilege of a homogeneous and full ripening.

The company owes its name to a quote by Fr. Salimbene De Adam, a medieval chronicler, who in his chronicles indicates that this area just like “il Monti de le Vigne”. Rolling hills, smooth lines that descend from 300 meters to the right bank of the Taro. Deep soils, of marl, rich in calcium and clay, strongly mineral, which allow the vine to develop the structure, intensity and aromas. And finally, the climate, mild even in winter, while in summer the air that rises from the Taro creates sudden changes in temperature between day and night of 10 degrees, which is essential for producing wines of great finesse.
