Azienda Agricola Masciarelli was founded in San Martino in 1978 by Gianni Masciarelli and began producing wine in 1981. Today the Masciarelli company is active in the production of wine, extra virgin olive oil and has been devoted to wine tourism thanks to the purchasing and the careful restoration of the Baronial Palace Castello di Semivicoli.
Gianni Masciarelli inherited from his paternal grandfather Giovanni the passion for the vine and wine. And it is right in the old cellar of his grandfather, where Gianni Masciarelli started to create his wines.
Right from the beginning, Masciarelli bet on the potentials of those vines that spoke the language of his people: Montepulciano and Trebbiano. The production philosophy of Masciarelli gives great importance to the territory and to its winemaking culture and tradition. The primary passion of Gianni is Abruzzo, extraordinary land of scents, colors and intense flavors that are found in all its typical products (from pasta with wine, extra virgin olive oil, to cheese, meats with saffron, from truffles and to alla ventricina sweets, to candies). Land of artists and poets (D’Annunzio, Tosti, Michetti, Cascella, Flaiano, Palizzi), in which the modern industrial center coexists with handicraft and the oldest traditions, still intact.
