The Masseria del Feudo company is the entrepreneurial brainchild of two young people, Francesco and Carolina Cucurullo who, after long investigations and visits to wineries, decided to build a winery for the production of quality wines with geographical identification (IGT), inserted in old farm buildings. The project is part of a broader pattern of enhancement and verticalization of four productive sectors: Wine Growing, Fruit Growing, Animal Husbandry and Olive Growing, that represent the activities of a family’s farm, extended 110 hectares ad arrived, with the two young people, to the fourth generation. Together with the vineyards, on which various native and non–native varieties such as Nero d’Avola, Syrah, Chardonnay, Inzolia and Grillo have been tested, there are also: peach trees with 13 varieties with different maturation times, worked with a calibration line, packaging and storage in cold cellars, a herd of dairy cattle with adjoining dairy factory for the processing of raw materials in typical dairy products. A new structure has been conceived as a farmhouse inn with the aim of accommodating operators, tourists and consumers, who have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge on all sectors and discover all the ancient historical, cultural and gastronomic traditions linked to the Sicilian rural world.
