Kettmeir is one of the most important names in the long winemaking tradition of South Tyrol, both in the hilly area around Lake Caldaro and in other suited terroirs, where specific types of soils and the alternating influences of the Mediterranean and Alpine climates – with ample temperature ranges both between night and day and among seasons – give wines a unique character.
The historical seat, the vineyards, the wineries on the famous Wine Route, testify a very ancient farm culture and a long winemaking tradition, together with a concept of production oriented to quality, with a wide offer of wines: red, white and rosè, both still and sparkling, whose grapes have found here their ideal habitat. Since 1986 Kettmeir belongs to the Santa Margherita group, that thanks to its network deals with distribution and supply, especially to high level restaurants.
