GIORGIO CARNEVALE Company was founded at the end of the last century in Fubine Monferrato by the grandfather of the current owner.

In 1926 his son Delfino left company of his father and moved to Cerro Tanaro.

With the cooperation of his family, in–laws, and his wife, took over the Winery of Baron Giuseppe Quaglia, located on the border between the two municipalities of Cerro Tanaro and Rocchetta Tanaro, at the foot of the pleasant Asti hills particularly suited to the cultivation of Barbera, Grignolino, Moscato, Brachetto, Freisa, and not far from the Langhe of Alba.

Soon he became one of the most skilled connoisseurs of the best locations, that he selects wisely, in relation to the characteristics that are transmitted from soils to the wines.

In October 1953, the current owner George succeeded, who graduated at the Oenology Institute in Alba, and renewed the business, extended and modernized the old cellars, devoting himself with competence and passion to the vinification of the grapes from this prestigious area.

Noteworthy is the “Vecchio Barbera della Rocchetta” 1961, with which the Carnevale Company is widely appreciated and is rewarded with international prizes.

Its wines, distributed through traditional sales channels (specialized restaurants and wine bars), are highly prized for their distinct characteristics of typicality and finesse.

In 1986, to continue the family tradition, the son of Giorgio joined the company: the Oenologist Alessandro. He follows in the footsteps of his father and grandfather Delfino, maintains and intensifies the now ten–year collaborations with senior farmers and tries to tighten new cooperations, in order to make more and more concrete his relationship with the land, and to improve the quality of his Wines.
