Petrarch himself appreciated the local wines, and decided to live in Arquà, a charming small town in the southern part of the Euganean Hills. The actual owner, count Umberto Emo Capodilista, began to renovate vineyards and wineries at the beginning of the 90s, leaving his son Giordano Emo Capodilista to lead the entire company, assisted by the oenologist Andrea Boaretti and by the agronomist Patrizio Gasparinetti. The numerous awards and recognitions from the most famous wine critics such as Robert Parker, Luca Maroni, Gambero Rosso and Luigi Veronelli have encouraged Giordano Emo Capodilista to continue down this road. About half production is exported abroad.
