Fay

The Fay farm was founded in 1973 by Sandro Fay who, starting from the small family wine production, decided to develop this activity. In 1971 the work of construction of the company’s suit in San Giacomo di Teglio began; in subsequent years the vineyard area of the farm was extended with the union of several plots. Since 1998 Sandro Fay has been joined by his children Marco and Elena. Our commitment is aimed to the enhancement of individual vineyards that, according to the peculiarities of soil and altitude, give rise to different wines and of strong personality.

F.lli Bettini

Driving along the highway n°38 in Valtellina, you can see the marvellous vineyards on the Raethian side slopes, fruit of the tenacity of the local growers. The wine company F.lli Bettini has its seat in S. Giacomo di Teglio, not far from the chief town of Sondrio, in the heart of Valgella's production area. Established in 1881, it is among the oldest companies producing Valtellina Wines.
The owner, Guido Bettini, has been able to pass to his sons his deep love for this hard but fascinating activity. The family works together in planning the investment concerning both vineyards and cellars, never forgetting the great tradition characterizing the company.
The grapes coming from owned vineyards in the classical areas of Valtellina Superiore DOCG ( Controlled and Guaranteed Denomination of Origin) are carefully selected and then vinified in the modern and very well equipped cellars.
The wines for Riservas, Selections and for the Sfursat are matured and refined in precious oak barrels and in French oak barriques, in the "ancient cellars" of the company.
