Fratelli Berna CNS is a family business, whose owners, Ezio and Vanni Berna, have been working in the town store in Mirano for several years.

Vinifera is a wine store located in the historic center of Padua, in Via Savonarola 159.
It deals with the sale of fine or sophisticated wines and, monthly, commits itself to promote a different region. It organizes guided wine tastings, events and winery visits, in order to raise awareness of its products and to bring more and more people near the world of wine.
Moreover, it proposes, inside its elegant location, the organization of private events and appetizers.
In addition to the accurate selection of wines, it offers for sale professional objects linked to the world of Sommeliers or of high value, ideas for a present and marriage or business gifts.
Loreggia is situated on the road that from Padua leads to Castelfranco Veneto. From Padua East it is about ten kilometers far, you arrive there in a few minutes. Locanda Aurilia is a village inn, family–run, with a story behind. Therefore, it is restaurant, hotel, bar, but also, thanks to the passion of Ferdinando, the most beautiful winery in the area. No doubt. Mine is not an invitation, but something like an order: go there! and once you do it, say my name (it is cool to say it) and ask to the little man with mustache (Ferdinando) to take you down to the wine cellar to look at the well stored wines for type of food. You will then see wines for soups, for red meats, for venison, for cheese. If you still have doubts, ask for the impressive wine list, presented with maps, and be happy about the mark–ups and especially about the variety and quality you will find. Take the wine that you like, sit at the table in the bar to share with Ms. Antonietta, mother of Ferdinando, and ask for some pieces of sublime cheese, taken from the cart of the restaurant. Now, offer a glass to Antonietta. Then thank me. Cheers!
First detour: Mestrino. Mestrino is located fifteen kilometers west of Padua, that can be easily reached both from the city and the motorway. In Mestrino you find Enoteca Centrale, the project of three enterprising and capable young men who, in this point of junction between the provinces of Padua and Vicenza (where money run, my dear), have recovered the old bar of the village, with adjoining newsstand, filling it with the best gastronomic products in the market. Since early morning they serve well prepared breakfasts, then smart and quick lunches with some pretension (soft Polentina with melted Tomino cheese, honey fungus and goose speck ham, so to speak) and all through the day, the wide and complex wine cellar, integrated with the place, is made available. We are talking about over eight hundred different wines, including many of the best champagne di maison cuvée which they do not hesitate to uncork even to pour just one glass. They are skilled, the welcoming is giovane and if you want to indulge an intimate moment, there are nice and informal dining rooms. To eat you spend a few in relation to the context, to drink a little more.
Godenda, located in a narrow street, lateral of the central and the splendid Piazza della Frutta, is an à la page venue, too, emerged from the overwhelming creativity of its very cool architect. He must have travelled and seen various lounge bars around the world, because the simplicity and the intelligence with which spaces are organized, the very long counter, the huge windows and everything else, leave a pleasant feeling. That deceives me every time, because I eat absentely, forgetting that I am drinking an aperitif and I am not having lunch. The taste of vegetables, meat or fish, like raw shrimps or tuna tartare, all well made and well presented, lead us to sin. Damned. I, a man of bar, like Godenda, although it is a place frequented by conscious long–legged women and well combed forty–year–old men. The offer of wines in glass is wide and qualified. Prices do not create any scandal. If, before wine, you are interested in a well done Negroni, they can do it. And this is not a trivial matter, believe me.
We are in Corso Umberto, a promenade that leads to Prato della Valle, the largest square of Italy, close to the St. Anthony Basilica. The full name is Antonio Ferrari, stories about food and wine, fromage Bar, coffee and salami. So I could not avoid this à la page place. I am a little bit afraid of this type of places. That does not mean anything. Let me explain: a very nice place and well kept. Here the architect has given his best. Games of stone, wood, marble and light. There will be surely some zen concept that eludes me, but which allows many people to fully enjoy the excellent products that are sold here, even on the rich gastronomy counter. Many are the pin–striped suits, many are the smiles cost as a studio flat, many are the ladies who do their shopping as if they were in jewelry. Anyway charming, comfortable, it has a qualified offer, in particular on cheese and certainly represents an innovative place with regard to the service. In Padua, it is one of the few places actually able to adapt itself to the time slot. The proposal is of high–class wines, with a focus on bubbles including some affordable Cremant. Yes, affordable, because in general the prices are in line with the type of customers.
It is small, a square boxroom with the counter on one side and the other three covered with beautiful bottles, with a special attention to the organic/naturist world. You do not sit, you stay roosted at the beautiful bar to drink a good glass and eat delicacies. I have never perceived it as a limitation. It is easy to make friends, have a chat and discover affinities. You are in the center of an important way, not very popular, but known by the students of the Political Science faculty which is a few meters away on the same street. The mark–ups on bottles are very honest.
Since 1980. It is a real place. Not in the sense of rustic or popular. It is a place made to sell wine, welcome people who want to drink, to read a newspaper, to eat hot or cold dishes prepared with the care they require. The beautiful wooden bar, around which you can sit, takes up half room. The architect did not strike. No sparkles or installations, no lace, no falsely aged wood. Several good glasses alternate daily. On display, about seven hundred labels, including many French wines, especially champagne of the house with some gems, spirits and valuable food. Prices are substantially right.

Run by the son of the Baggio spouses, Enrico, it shares kitchen, wine cellar and style of the mother company, to say, the near Ca’Derton restaurant. The atmosphere is homely and friendly, and to the only small room, cosy and welcoming, in summer time some tables in the opposite little square are added. It has 20 seats in total, for quick but refined meals.
Fratelli Boaretti wine company is present in the market since 1905, this is the fourth generation of negociant in the world of wine. In this family–run company, tastings and decisions are made around the patron’s table. A constant reading of the market has brought us, through the years, to have a full range of wines – everyday wines: the Fratelli Boaretti line with IGT Wines for the Occasions; the C Pasotrino e CORTI EUGANEE line with the DOC Meditation Wines; the C Pastorino Moscato DOC still wine.
