The story of the Enoteca begins in 1929 when Rino Ferronato, from his experience in the preparation of herbal teas, infusions and other medical products, with his friend Antonio Carone, opens a factory for the distillation and sale of liquors.
With the wisdom of the craftsmen he prepares liquors such as anise, cinchona, plum, marsala cream, rum, rhubarb and many other liquors. The activity continues with his sons Giorgio and Matteo, who in addition to liquors begin to select and sell wines, in particular those produced in Friuli.
After the experience derived from the production, in the 70s Ferronato opens two points of sale in Pordenone, one of which is in the heart of the town near the Town Hall, in a historic building located in Corso Vittorio Emanuele. Today, Ferronato has become a point of reference for enthusiasts, amateurs and sommeliers, who come from throughout the region.
The town offers countless international events. Therefore, every visitor that returns does not fail to visit the Ferronato wine shops.
Currently, the management is entrusted to Rino, the grandson of the founder to which it owes its name, always supported by his parents Matteo and Luciana.
The undisputed quality of the offer, in addition to the classic labels, boasts a choice of over 1800 types, which is based on the research of new products, which are unknown and which, thanks to the wine shop, succeed in entering the channels of commerce.
The choice of native Friulian wines is excellent and you can find all types of Friulian wine with a very wide range, to which a special attention to the value for money is devoted.
Obviously, visiting the two places you can find all the wines of the world, with a primary attention focused on Italian wines, but the wines from Friuli are the hard core of the business.
One of the guidelines of Rino Ferronato is to choose wines that are possibly produced with criteria of eco–sustainability, with natural methods of production, as if to emphasize the passion and the ethics which support professionalism.
It is hard not to find novelties, such as organic wines that in recent years are having an exponential success, but in this case the attention is focused on the quality of the product that is tested several times before it goes on sale.
Obviously, the remarkable choice you can find is the assistance that the sales directors give to customers.
Many customers ask for advise about wines that are suitable to their menu, making of the wine shop a sort of school for people who approach the wine world.
The message highlighted is to seek the pleasure of wine tasting, directing the customer to the quality of the product, describing it in all its features.
Many restaurants, despite having their suppliers, turn to Ferronato, as they can buy rare and difficult to find on the market products, especially the brands that have a limited production such as the selections of Gaja, Giacomo Conterno, the various Brunello di Montalcino among the Italian wines, but also wines that come from all over the world.
Customers entering the two wine shops can also find various products related to wine, such as sets of corkscrews of all types and for all budgets, accessory holders, sabers for sommeliers, wine coolers, decanters for all types of wine, various caps to preserve wine and much more.
The very wide range of products goes from the traditional to the historic and to design.
In addition to the accessories, you can find the suitable food to accompany the tasting of wines for happy hour, desserts, o anything else.
You can be sure that if you want a pack with different types of wine from Ferronato you can find any solution for your needs.
Wine, however, is the absolute protagonist, and the oenological offer of these prestigious wine shops show a significant share, especially to the younger customers, of the culture of wine.
