The promotion of the Veneto as a navigable destination was at the center of the conference "Slow Flow Veneto Waterways Experience: tourism along the waterways of the Veneto" which took place today at the stand of the Veneto Region at the BIT in Milan.

The councilor for tourism of the Veneto Region, Federico Caner, declared that: "The promotion of the Veneto area through slow & green tourism proposals is part of the regional plans that encourage the differentiation of tourism products by focusing on sustainability. In this context, Slow Flow - Veneto Waterways Experience represents an innovative integrated and coordinated tourist proposal of regional value, capable of enhancing both the navigable itineraries themselves and their connections with the natural heritage and the cultural landscape, as well as with other methods of use, such as cycling and fishing tourism This new type of offer, based on principles of economic, social and environmental sustainability, responds perfectly to the demand of today's tourist, who is constantly looking for experiences related to nature and authenticity, without forgetting safety. of the territory from the waterways, moreover, they have the poten ability to generate a particularly relevant economic induced for many other economic categories and local realities, creating value for the whole territory."

Adriana Miotto, CEO Just Good Tourism, project consultant, then presented the activities carried out for the promotion of the operators' offer, starting with the website www.slow-flow.it which presents the companies and their integrated tour proposals, excursions and experiences in six different provinces (Verona, Vicenza, Padua, Venice, Rovigo, Treviso) divided between day-long activities and multi-day packages. Numerous promotional materials have been created under the Slow Flow Veneto Waterways Experience brand, specifically designed to identify the aggregation and its offer, which include maps, videos, photo shoots and gadgets.

It was then the turn of the operators Paolo Cogo, owner of Gentes Tour Operator - Helloveneto.it, project leader, Gianluca Maggiori, owner of Travel&Bike Tour Operator and Rudy Toninato, CEO Delta Tour Navigazione and vice president of Assonautica Acque Interne Veneto Emilia, who presented some of their proposals that combine river and lagoon itineraries, bike&boat experiences, fishing tourism, boat tastings, visits to wineries, lagoon huts, villas and castles, kayak and bicycle excursions along the waterways of the Veneto, from the Venice Lagoon to the of Caorle, from the Sile river to the Brenta Riviera, from the Euganean Riviera to the Euganean Hills, from Chioggia to the Po Delta.

Among the new routes presented, the cycle-river itineraries on the Fissero-Tartaro-Canalbianco navigation route, created as part of the "Navighiamo il Museo Diffuso delle Acque" project by Assonautica Acque Interne Veneto Emilia with the support of numerous municipalities in the Polesine area. Three itineraries are proposed for boat excursions: "The route of archaeology" from Rovigo to Adria, "Between villas and castles" from Villa Badoer in Fratta Polesine to the castle of Arquà Polesine, and "The route of water" towards the ancient riverbeds of Canda and Trecenta.

Ludovica Zane aroused great interest, who at 16 is the youngest lace maker in Burano, who showed how the precious needle lace typical of Burano is made. Ludovica, who began by learning from her grandmother and great-grandmother, has been studying for over five years to learn this age-old art, which risks extinction due to the lack of a program that encourages young people to take up the baton. Ludovica is the daughter of Massimiliano Zane, owner of Laguna Fla Group, who has always worked towards slow and sustainable tourism in the Venice lagoon, which enhances local traditions, trades and crafts.

Finally, Valentina Colleselli, CEO Meraki, coordinator of the Slow Flow project, concluded by recalling the forthcoming initiatives for the promotion of the network operators' tourist offer through educational tours and press trips aimed at the Italian and international market which will take place in the spring.
