340 members who well represent the varied world of food and wine, tourism and hospitality, over 1 million and 200 thousand page views / year on the Tastetrentino.it website, 5,000 subscribers to the newsletter and a series of events organized during the 'year in collaboration with its members. 2021 goals? Greater synergies with institutions, local APTs and associates and the launch of a new series of taste experiences in line with the most current trends in the sector.

The meeting kicked off with the intervention of the new President Sergio Valentini , who since March of this year has taken up the legacy of Francesco Antoniolli - who remained in office as President of the Trento and Valsugana Territorial Technical Committee and contact person for the National Federation of Roads of Wine, Oil and Flavors -. After bringing greetings from the landlord Marco Fontanari, President of Concommercio Trentino, and Maurizio Rossini, CEO of Trentino Marketing, he wanted to thank his predecessor for the great work done in recent years that has contributed to making the Association dynamic and in full health and able to face the difficult period experienced.

The Trentino Wine and Flavors Route - he explained - is constantly evolving, also in terms of associates, who represent in an ever more faithful way the whole variegated world of food and wine, tourism and hospitality. A reality - he continued - that has never stopped, even in full lockdown and that for 2021 aims to intensify relations with both institutions and associates ".

The meeting then continued with a report on the past year. The Association has carried out , compatibly with the opportunities offered by the various decrees that have followed one another over the months, the scheduled reviews , such as Gemme di gusto , which in 2020 saw about thirty initiatives for 90 members involved, or DiVin October , also with 30 initiatives for 80 members. Also confirmed are the events that usually flank the oenological events dedicated to testimonial wines, such as A tutto Müller, A tutto Teroldego, A tutto Marzemino and A tutto Bollicine which, compared to previous years, involved the entire territory of the Route.

Activities that allow guests to be brought directly to the associates' companies . A goal also pursued with the Weekend in the cellar , often combined with accompanied holiday proposals. Among the novelties, in this sense, the Taste Experiences also aimed at Trentino residents and proposed alongside tailored made holiday packages and Travels of Taste . In addition to the discovery of the product chain , with proposals dedicated to the world of agriculture, oil, wine, grappa and cooking, and creative / cooking workshops, this year we have in fact dedicated to the creation of new proposals, namely Taste & Bike, Taste & Walk and Taste & Train : routes in stages achievable by bike / on foot or with the help of vehicles such as the train, manageable in total autonomy, which include a series of food and wine stops at the associates of the Road, soon promoted also through dedicated videos that will be launched at short to encourage effective communication of online news.

These opportunities will be flanked in 2021 by new proposals , in line with current trends , organized in collaboration with the other two roads - the Strada dei Formaggi delle Dolomiti and the Strada della Mela e dei Sapori delle Valli di Non and di Sole - and Trentino Marketing that combine food and wine experiences with activities for smart workers, walks of 2 days or more, visits to the farm and activities on the farm , thanks also in this case to the participation of the Trentino Agritourism Association .

During the meeting, there was also an opportunity to recall the initiatives promoted to support the various realities of the association starting from the first lockdown, such as the opening of a section of the site dedicated to the theme "Food & Wine at home" , in which all the proposals of the members active in direct deliveries and shipments were collected, and "Get and taste ... away" , to promote the delivery and take-away service of typical dishes activated by thirty of our members, in addition to #stradavinotrentino bond , sale of vouchers for visits to the cellar, restaurant dinners or holiday offers, to give oxygen to the most affected categories.

In terms of promotion and communication, there were 1 million and 200 thousand page views of the Tastetrentino.it portal , with almost 300 thousand unique users , also thanks to social activities, especially on Facebook and Instagram. The newsletter , sent to 5,000 supporters of the Association and also to all 2,500 accommodation facilities in Trentino, also performed well .

For each event, dedicated leaflets and brochures were created, disseminated through online channels, and a dedicated press office activity was implemented on local newspapers and websites, national newspapers, consumer food, travel and general publications but also specialized publications. wine, as well as local radio and television services.

Product culture is also important, which remains one of the main objectives of the Association. In these days a specific training activity is being carried out for the members, in collaboration with the Accademia di Impresa , for the enhancement and promotion of typical local products. As soon as possible, the “ Ambassadors of the territory ” course will resume, organized in collaboration with the Trentino Hotel Institutes with the aim of supporting the training of professional figures competent in the area and typical productions. Finally, with the same aim, an activity with the Trentino Restaurateurs Association aimed at restaurant staff is planned in the coming months.

Finally, space for the approval of the final balance sheet which saw a substantial breakeven which confirms the good health of the Association. The 2021 budget and the 2022 social quotas have also been approved.

And the desire to network with realities that share the same objectives as the Road is also confirmed with the work that is being carried out outside Trentino, together with the National Federation of Wine, Oil and Flavors Roads. Following the "Pact of Spello" signed by the Federation itself, together with the City of Wine and City of Oil Associations, the Wine Tourism Movement and the Oil Tourism Movement and the Italian Wine Union, the Table of the Enogastronomic Tourism, which will make it possible to address this delicate and important issue in a systematic manner together with all the players in the sector and which will see the active participation of institutions at national level.
