The territory of the Euganean Hills, its vocation for wine production that has led it to establish itself with its DOC and with the well–famous Fior d’Arancio DOCG, the stories of the farms and of the many internationally renowed wineries, are the main themes that bind together the chapters of the book "The Euganean Hills – Stories and paths in the hills of Venice" written by the American Patricia Guy.

Emblematic representative of the world of so–called international "wine makers" who from on high of her authority, as illustrious writer and journalist of the best international industry headlines, has devoted months of work to imprint on the pages of this volume her evocative experiences in the Euganean territory, the wine world that characterizes it and with it the history and the long culinary and wine tradition of an area that seems to rise like an archipelago in the sea of the Po Valley.

A real world made of green atolls born by ancient volcanic mountains that have seen their rough edges being smoothen out over the millennia to become, in our day, winding hill formations that while not exceeding the height of 600 meters above sea level, they become the unique frame behind the Venice lagoon.

Especially in those clear days following the outbursts of the bora and the cold north winds, as known by lovers of breathtaking views and photo amateurs, who immortalize its beauty with spectacular punctuality at every possible opportunity.

In short, a vision in front of which it is really hard to remain indifferent and do not approach to understand it and make it your own. As it has been for Patricia Guy in this literary effort by her, realized with the support and patronage of the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, EAFRD, Gal Patavino, Veneto Region, MIPAAF and Euganean Hills Wine Road and that will be previewed at the Caffè Quadri in Venice on 27th February.
