Seven rooms in the ancient palace
Obtained from the careful renovation of the ancient noble palace of the Lantieri de Paratico family, Corte Lantieri is a well-kept retreat for a few, as it has only 7 large rooms overlooking the hills and therefore can guarantee its guests maximum privacy. All around, large terraces , flower gardens , a beautiful swimming pool with solarium overlooking the vineyards, paths for walking and cycling, secluded sites where you can enjoy relaxation, green corners to practice yoga undisturbed and exercise en plein air. Riding the bicycles available to guests can be reached villages, abbeys, naturalistic areas of Franciacorta; on foot you walk along the dense network of paths that from Capriolo go through vineyards and woods. In a quarter of an hour by car you can reach the beaches of Lake Iseo or Brescia , with its art and history treasures.
Refined local cuisine
In the restaurant - also open to those who do not stay in the Wine Resort - the dishes of Chef Paolo Zanardi interpret the seasons and tell with personality the gastronomic tradition of Franciacorta and the lake of the nearby Lake Iseo. Among the classics, the Risotto al Franciacorta Millesimato creamed with Robiola two milks , the Casoncelli della Corte with bubbly butter and sage , the pasta with lake fish , the Beef of the Rovato tradition with extra virgin olive oil (dish-symbol of the territory) . To compose the dishes, seasonal vegetables and fruits (many of which come from the vegetable garden located among the company's vineyards) and local products, widely valued also in the appetizers, which give space to typical products such as the Sebino dried sardine with toasted polenta, but also with local cured meats such as Ret (De.Co. salami from Capriolo) and Montisola salami, and traditional cheeses such as Silter Camuno and Selvino di Grotta, served with delicious local jams and honeys. On the summer menu , where vegetables and aromas from the garden have a prominent place, among the first Spaghetti di Gragnano alla carbonara di Lago, Potato gnocchi with broad bean pesto and smoked trout, Fusillone with seasonal vegetables, crispy bacon and pecorino. Among the second courses Veal fillet with pink point, asparagus and mashed potato with Sebino oil, Bone-in and stuffed rabbit leg in the oven with Brescia polenta, Lake fish fillet with dried tomatoes and black olives. Tarts, parfaits, spoon desserts end the meal on a sweet note. Each dish, presented with care and refinement, is accompanied by the prized Franciacorta wines from Cantina Lantieri.
Organic vineyards and tastings in the cellar
All to visit the cellars of the estate, where guided tastings are also organized: in the oldest part, which dates back to the eighteenth century, the bottles rest on tall stacks in the dim light, while in the modern one the various stages of vinification take place according to the most advanced technologies. Visiting them, you will discover how the precious Franciacortas are born, produced from grapes harvested by hand in the 20 hectares of vineyards ( cultivated in organic form) owned by the company, which extend partly around the cellar and partly on the slopes of Monte Alto. Wines that stand out for their freshness and minerality and express the aromas and pulpiness of the fruit in its entirety. To best represent them is Franciacorta Cuvée Brut NV Lantieri , which won the title of World Champion in the Classic Brut Non-Vintage Blend category at The Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championship 2019 (CSWWC), the prestigious competition conceived by Tom Stevenson, maximum world expert in Champagne and Sparkling wines.
