Still on the rise, in numbers and in image. Thus ends the year the Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato, with a production that has reached 1,100,000 bottles and a denomination that has grown by 10% in the last year.

The most encouraging data is the regular increase, which leads to a hectare/bottle ratio among the best performing in Italy: thanks to the proportional growth between production and vineyard area, which has reached 204 hectares, production follows the market trend, avoiding potentially harmful imbalances.

The good health of the Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato is also demonstrated by the growing interest from players outside the area, an element that contributes to the increase in the value of the land , which has gone from 5,000 - 10,000 euros per hectare without vineyards 10 years ago at 30,000 – 50,000 euros based on the location, and 150,000 euros per hectare for vineyards.

Good news on the value front too; the first bottles of Riserva begin to appear and there is a lot of attention for this new type which demonstrates the versatility of the product and its ability to place itself in the Olympus of great wines with a high positioning. Thanks to the introduction of the Riserva, even small companies can create a segmentation of the offer and offer a wider range of Ruchè.

An enhancement made possible by the union of the producers and also thanks to the close collaboration with the Consorzio Barbera d'Asti and Monferrato wines, which demonstrates how important it is to work as a team.

<< A special thanks goes to the president Filippo Mobrici, always present, who has made the territory grow a lot . – Says Luca Ferraris , president of the Castagnole Monferrato Ruchè Producers Association. – Now what we hope is the growth of collaboration with the municipal administrations of the denomination, following the example of the Municipality of Castagnole Monferrato, which strongly believes in our activity >>. In fact, wine brings prestige and economic growth to the area, just think that out of a population of 5,000 inhabitants in the 7 municipalities of the denomination, Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato generates 10,000,000 euros of GDP .

A sector in which the Association believes a lot, which is why it wanted the innovative territorial marketing plan, which is nearing completion. The tourist offers are already ready and the billboards will be installed shortly. << We want to promote all 7 municipalities and create benefits for the entire population. – Ferraris continues - In this way, alongside Castagnole Monferrato, we will be able to introduce beauties such as the village of Grana, the Montemagno Castle, the Viarigi Tower, the Ricetto di Portacomaro and the beautiful hills of Scurzolengo and Refrancore . >>
