It was first mixed in Florence in the 1910s, by barman Fosco Scarselli for Count Camillo Negroni , who liked to sip a slightly more ''robust'' Americano. Since then, the Count's revisited Americano gained more and more popularity, starting to be called simply '' Negroni ''.
The recipe proposed here is a tribute to the excellence of the Emilian territory: it is in fact made with Gin Tabar Classico , a gin which with its enveloping spicy aromatic notes gives us a ruby cocktail perfect for adventurous aperitifs . Exceptional sponsor, Ian Fleming , famous author of James Bond, who just couldn't do without it!
