ISTITUTO GRANDI MARCHI is a champion of downloads on iTunes with the journey-documentary among the Italian lands 'DISCOVER ITALY'.

The Istituto Grandi Marchi, which brings together the major Italian wine labels, is very popular on iTunes with his Italian-Canadian documentary 'Discover Italy'.

An average of no less than 10 thousand downloads per month for the 75 minutes devoted to Italian wine
immortalized along 6 thousand kilometers travelled from the North to the South the "Belpaese" of wine. 'Discover Italy' was carried out by the LCBO (Liquor Control Board of Ontario), by Istituto Grandi Marchi and by the Verona International Exhibition Management (IEM). The recognition by Internet users follows the success achieved by 'Discover Italy' that got to the final at the New York Festival's International Television & Film Awards, a competition that awards the best film and television productions from over 50 countries.

'Discover Italy': the documentary for a drink of Italy
'Discover Italy' traces in 75 minutes the best Italian wine, with its cellars, its vineyards and its monuments of art.
The documentary has as special stars the great names of Made in Italy oenology: Aloisio Lageder, Argiolas, Greppo Biondi Santi, Ca 'del Bosco, Michele Chiarlo, Carpenè Malvolti, Donnafugata, Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari Estates, Gaja, Jermann, Lungarotti Masi, Antinori, Mastroberardino, Pio Cesare, Rivera, Tasca D'Almerita's, Tenuta San Guido, Umani Ronchi.
Michael Fagan, manager of educational activities of LCBO, the monopoly of the province of Ontario, takes the viewer on an interesting journey to discover our cultural heritage condensed in a bottle to the consumer of a country. From Sicily, among the sea, the sun and Greek temples, you can meet the Nero d'Avola wine by Alberto Tasca d'Almerita, to the Campania region, where you can approach Aglianico and Greco di Tufo. Puglia offers Nero di Troia and Primitivo. Up in the north of Italy, where among gondolas, opera, mountains and truffles you can have a pleasant talk with Amarone, Prosecco, Riesling and Gewürztraminer, Franciacorta, Barolo ...

Success on the Internet: success in the commerce
The great success on the Internet is a further sign of the popularity of Italian wine on Canadian soil, after the successful close of 2012 with a +13.8% compared to the same period of the previous year, for a value of Euro 62.4 million. The Italian wine has had an even better achievement in the first quarter of 2013.
