Douja d’Or 2014: from 12th to 21st September at the Enofila Palace you can meet the 512 Italian wines, 43 Oscars, awarded in the national competition dedicated to the "gems" of the territory: aperitifs with Asti Spumante, Barbera in 115 variations, Alta Langa Metodo Classico. Author Dishes & Sweets, delicatessen, guided tastings by Onav experts to discover the treasures of the Italian tradition. Many conferences, exhibitions, theater and shows, this year’s partnership with the Collisioni Festival brings at Douja d’Or: Arisa, Carlo Cracco, Paolo Crepet, Enrico Ruggeri and Claudio Baglioni.


The program of the 48th National Wine Exhibition is more than ever rich and of quality, beginning with its "heart": the 512 wines graduated in the national competition organized with the technical support of ONAV. Red, white or rosé, young, mature or raisin, still or bright, with sweet or dry bubbles, everyone is present. The wines can be tasted and purchased at the Enofila Palace.

At the Enofila Palace the market of the gastronomic delights of Asti has been set up (27 companies, in turn, with their food specialties); every evening in the courtyard of the Enofila Palace (arcades area) you can also taste homemade ice cream made from DOC and DOCG wines, designed by the ice cream masters of Confartigianato.


The wine gems

Ample room is dedicated to the "gems" of the territory. The Douja of Asti with fruit aperitifs and bubbles in purity; Douja of Barbera (115 labels) and the Douja of Alta Langa Brut Metodo Classico, a production of niche of Southern Piedmont (17 labels).


"Author Dishes & Sweets"

The review of the "Author Dishes & Sweets" remains a pillar of the event. In the kitchen the Restaurants of the Associazione Albergatori & Ristoratori Astigiani: Bandini, Laura’s Restaurant, Il Podestà, San Marco, Il Bagatto, Cà Vittoria, La Braja, La Grotta, Ametista, Il Cascinalenuovo. And the pastry chefs of Confatigianato Asti: La Dolce Langa, Dolcevita, Barbero Vincenzo, Fattorepiù Ice Cream Parlour, Dolce e Salato, Scagline, Piedmontese Bakery of Scurzolengo.

– Ten are the tastings under the stars with the trade associations

–Ten are the tasting evenings organized by ONAV with pairings and unpublished themes (from Val di Noto to Irpinia, from salt cod in Vicenza–style to the Ligurian Riviera).


Collisioni Festival

The Collisioni Festival, for the first time partner of the wine event, will bring at Douja d’Or: the singer Arisa, chef Carlo Cracco, the psychiatrist Paolo Crepet, the singer Enrico Ruggieri and finally Claudio Baglioni. Conversations, stories and memories in music from September 15th to 19th, with free entry into the new show areas staged in Corso Felice Cavallotti, 47.

There will be opportunities for reflection on Proper Drink Education, in collaboration with LILT and the Pharmacists of Asti.
