The iconic wine of the Santo Stefano di Valdobbiadene winery has won the highest prize in its category at "Enoconegliano", the 23rd regional wine competition that selects the best Venetian wines

The company's iconic wine was in fact awarded the Dama d'Oro , the highest prize in the category " Sparkling wines with refermentation in autoclave (Martinotti method)" on the occasion of the 23rd regional wine competition which ended on Friday 16 July 2021. As winner of the Dama d'Oro, the Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore di Cartizze de Le Colture will be tasted on the occasion of the "Veneto Wine Stars - Enoconegliano 2021 event which will be held at the former San Francesco Convent in Conegliano on days 24, 25 and 26 September 2021 during which all the winning wines will be proclaimed. The Competition, reserved only for wines with designation of origin and typical geographical indication and sparkling wines with designation of origin and quality sparkling wines produced in the Veneto region, was born from the will of the 'Associazione Dama Castellana di Conegliano to introduce the consumer to the best regional wine production and stimulate wineries to improve the quality of the products. The selection was made by a jury divided into five commissions, each made up of 4 oenologists and a journalist in two days of work they evaluated 493 samples presented by 169 companies representing the the provinces of Belluno, Padua, Treviso, Venice, Verona and Vicenza.
