It is a Chianti Classico Gran Selezione the best wine in the world of the year, at least according to the "The Enthusiast 100" 2015 ranking of the famous American magazine Wine Enthusiast, which with the first place overall rewards the Chianti Classico Gran Selezione "Il Grigio 2011" of the San Felice company.

The ranking, created after the tasting of over 19,800 wines from around the world, in this edition shows the great variety of excellent wines on the market, and shows particular attention to the relation between the high quality of the wines and the price, the availability in the market and the "buzz", an "x–factor" linked to the interest that the product is able to stimulate in the public.

«2015 – Kerin O’Keefe declares to Wine News – was an exceptional year for Italian wines in "Wine Enthusiast". For the first time ever, an Italian wine took the top spot on the "Top 100 Best Buys" and the second place for the "Top Cellar Selections". And now, San Felice Il Grigio Chianti Classico Gran Selezione 2011 is the number 1 on the "100 Enthusiast" list. I am very happy and proud, that from the almost 20 thousand reviews published this year on "Wine Enthusiast" (of which about 3 thousand for Italy), Italian wines have proved their class, refinement and value».

«It is with great satisfaction – Chairman Sergio Zingarelli comments – that the Chianti Classico Wine Consortium has heard the news of The Enthusiast 100. To be selected as a symbol of excellence in the wine industry worldwide is the right crowning of our work and an award to the social compactness, to courageous and intelligent choices taken together in recent years, starting right from the creation of new types of Chianti Classico, Gran Selezione, that now is in the spotlight of the international press».
