The development strategy project, based on organic production and internationalization, was presented yesterday as part of a press conference held in Monticelli Brusati in the wonderful setting of Villa Baiana.

To meet the needs of consumers who are increasingly knowledgeable and sensitive to green issues, La Montina completed in 2015 the transformation of the vineyards into Organic: the first 100% bio harvest will take place in 2016 for an estimated production of 250 thousand bottles that will go to the market from 2018.

The whole territory of Franciacorta has long cutting edge in other sustainability initiatives including: the adoption of a Regulation Unit for the sustainable use of agricultural drugs containing more restrictive rules than those provided by law; the membership to Ita.Ca, a voluntary program of self–control of greenhouse gas emissions; the "Terre della Franciacorta" project for the enhancement of cultural and environmental heritage of the area as a lever for creating a sustainable economy.

Anna Lambiase, CEO of VedoGreen: »With La Montina the VedoGreen network is enhanced, in the year of Expo 2015, with one of the most representative Italian excellences of Franciacorta, Official Sparkling Wine of the Universal Exhibition. La Montina intends to grow in international markets where the market of Franciacorta recorded attractive growth rates, with a 2012–2014 CAGR of 18% in terms of turnover and 19% in terms of bottles«. VedoGreen, the company of the IR Top Group, Partner Equity Markets of the Italian Stock Exchange, is specialized in finance for quoted and private green companies. It was founded in 2011 from the idea of the "Green Economy on capital markets" Observatory, the annual report on green companies quoted in major European countries.
