The sunset over the Collio, the panorama of the vineyards, and the atmosphere of the Tenuta Stella terrace provided the backdrop, on Saturday, August 29th, for the awards ceremony of the photography competition promoted by the company to showcase the estate's landscape and natural heritage through the eyes of enthusiasts and visitors.
The ceremony took place as part of the "Vini e Vinili" event, dedicated to Metodo Classico sparkling wines, which brought the Dolegna del Collio winery to life, transforming the panoramic terrace overlooking the vineyards for one evening into a meeting place for wine and terroir. The Bubbles Adventures edition involved several sparkling wine producers from the Friuli Venezia Giulia region, the nearby Slovenian Brda region, and guests from other regions.
The photography competition saw a higher than expected turnout: around thirty participants submitted over sixty photographs , offering personal interpretations of the landscapes, flora and fauna that characterise the Tenuta Stella ecosystem.
The images were evaluated by a jury composed of Erika Barbieri and Gabriele Venuti for Tenuta Stella , by the professional photographer Massimo Crivellari , one of the most appreciated interpreters of photography in Friuli Venezia Giulia, and by Lorenzo Cucit , a professional from the communications agency RGB Lab .
At the end of the selection process, the jury identified three winning works, each representing one of the categories set out in the regulations: Landscape Architecture , dedicated to views of the vineyards and their integration into the hilly landscape; Microsystems (Flora) , focused on the botanical details and plant life of the estate; and Biodiversity (Fauna) , reserved for the presence of animals within the natural environment of Tenuta Stella.
First place went to Pierluigi Venir , while Mauro Cescon and Lanfranco Lincetto took second and third place, respectively. The winners received, in that order, a Tenuta Stella Riserve Collection Luxury bottle, a voucher for the "Le Verticali di Tenuta Stella" tasting dinner, and a magnum from the winery.
In addition to the award-winning photographs, the jury also chose to award three special mentions to three shots that, despite falling outside the competition's categories, stood out for their technical quality, compositional sensitivity, and ability to interpret the landscape.
The six selected images were presented and exhibited during the evening, arousing great interest among the audience. This result confirms that the Tenuta Stella landscape is not only the setting for wine, but also a rich heritage of biodiversity, natural vistas, and often-hidden details worthy of observation and exploration.
The August 29th event thus brought together the story of the region through two different yet complementary languages: on the one hand, that of wine, represented by the numerous wineries participating in the tasting dedicated to the Classic Method; on the other, that of photography, capable of conveying the environmental richness and most authentic identity of Tenuta Stella through images, perspectives, and details that often escape a distracted glance.
