«Italy thus reaches 24.9 GWp of total installed power, or 35% of the PNIEC target for 2030» highlight the analysts of EnergRed.com.

ENERGRED: AS OF DECEMBER 31, 2022 THE INSTALLATIONS OF PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEMS WILL HAVE EXCEEDED 2.2 GWP, MARKING AN INCREASE OF 145%

In 2022, photovoltaic plant installations will exceed 2.2 GWp with an increase of 145% compared to 2021 , thus allowing Italy to reach 24.9 GWp of total installed power, or 35% of the PNIEC target for 2030 These are the numbers which, based on « Terna Italia» and «Forum Italia Solare» data, elaborated the analysts of EnergRed (www.energred.com) Dorina Polinari and Giorgio Mottironi , respectively Solar Energy Manager and Strategy Advisor & CMO of the agency.

«To achieve the PNIEC objectives (71GWp) —however— the installations must more than double, reaching around 5.8 GWp per year» point out the experts of EnergRed.com, committed to supporting the energy transition of Italian SMEs.

It is precisely the companies that lose the photovoltaic train —according to data collected and processed by EnergRed—: in the commercial sector (from 20kWp to 200kWp) only 11.5% of the installed power is concentrated , for an average size of plant equal to 65 kWp; and similar is the figure in the industrial sector (from 200kWp to 1MWp) where 16.3% of the installed power is concentrated , for an average size of approximately 470kWp.

On the other hand, the residential sector (under 12 kWp) did very well, where 93% of the connections and 40% of the total installed power were recorded, probably linked to the energy redevelopment of condominiums and single or multi-family homes.

«We are therefore witnessing a very particular social phenomenon, in which a technology - photovoltaics - is chosen to rapidly protect the personal dimension, while the entrepreneurial one is left behind» points out Giorgio Mottironi , Strategy Advisor & CMO of EnergRed.

"Italy - continues Mottironi - this year has made a significant leap in the development of renewables, and above all of photovoltaics, but there is a lack of 40 GWp to 80 GWp to be allocated to consumption (through virtual PPAs) or to the car -consumption (physical PPP) of firms".

With regard to the geographical distribution , Puglia leads the ranking in Italy with about 3 GWp of installed power, followed, however, shortly by 4 northern regions: Lombardy with 2.97 GWp, Emilia-Romagna (2.4 GWp), Veneto (2.37 GWp) and Piedmont (1.92 GWp).

Sicily —land of the " energy gold "— is only sixth with 1.7 GWp and other large productive regions such as Tuscany and Campania are also far behind: they do not even reach 1GWp of installed power.

"However, the fact that now causes concern, albeit —partly justified by the arrival of the cold season— is the increase in energy prices : the PUN is again over 400 €/MWh in recent days" the analysts point out . But the increase cannot be reabsorbed, considering that the most difficult moment will come in the summer of 2023 , when China's industrial restart is awaited, which alone could absorb more than 85% of the growth in world natural gas supply capacity .

In the light of all these certainly not rosy forecasts for Italy, EnergRed has decided to dedicate a particular effort to help companies that seem a little distracted at the moment, guaranteeing them the unrepeatable and unbeatable price of 145 €/MWh for the self-consumption energy from EnergRed plants. And clearly only for the energy actually consumed, when it is consumed.

The proposal is reserved for companies with more than 1 million euros in turnover and at least 3,500 euros per month in consumption, which decide to start their energy transition by March 2023 .

«We continue to commit ourselves every day to bring sustainable, low-cost energy to SMEs . We want to give a strong signal of presence alongside virtuous entrepreneurs: "think about doing your job well and we will invest in your company, guaranteeing you access to a sunny future" » comments Moreno Scarchini , CEO of EnergRed .

«For next year we have budgeted 20 million euros of investment just in favor of efficient user systems (SEU) and this means that we will be able to help about 200 companies to reduce their emissions and transform energy costs into an opportunity growth» Moreno Scarchini is proud to announce.
