Launched with the aim of reducing the environmental impact and management costs in the vineyard, thanks to less dispersion of phytosanitary treatments, NoviAgri has already demonstrated promising results. " We are extremely proud of the progress made with the NoviAgri project, " said Vitaliano Maccario, President of the Consortium. " The integration of artificial intelligence in viticulture is not only the future, but is already a reality in our territory, demonstrating that technological innovation can go hand in hand with the tradition and manual skills of our winemakers. "
The field test is the last piece of a long and profitable industrial research project that the Consortium has carried out in recent years and which is now reaching the final industrialization phase; many agricultural machinery manufacturing companies have already shown great interest in creating the atomizer from scratch or a kit to install on atomizers already in use.
Illustrated speakers such as Vitaliano Maccario, President of the Consortium, spoke to illustrate the progress made by NoviAgri; Giorgio Marino, director of IISSG Penna; professors Paolo Gay, Lorenzo Comba, Fabrizio Gioielli, Paolo Marucco of the University of Turin - DISAFA; Giancarlo Spezia of Tecnovict-Spezia Srl; Leonardo Sileo of CSP Innovation in ICT; Salvatore Giacoppo, viticultural consultant of the project; and Federico Barone of GreenSharp.
The collaboration between the University of Turin, Tecnovict-Spezia Srl, CSP Innovation in ICT and the Consortium itself has made it possible to adopt a multidisciplinary approach, which is fundamental for tackling the challenges of modern viticulture.
President Maccario closes: “ The Barbera d'Asti e Vini del Monferrato Consortium will continue with enthusiasm its path of innovation and sustainability, confirming its commitment not only towards the exceptional quality of its products, but also towards the protection of the environment and consumer health. ”
The importance of this study was also recognized last April 5 by the OIV, the International Organization of Vine and Wine, a scientific and technical point of reference for the global wine world, which defined the project as an important improvement and innovation for environmental protection and consumer health.
