Water, a precious and certainly not inexhaustible resource, not to be wasted, even in agriculture. For this reason, Veneto Agricoltura has planned a series of initiatives with the aim of promoting the enhancement of the water resource within the farm .
The first event open to operators and the public (mandatory pre-registration of participants on https://gip2021orticoltura.eventbrite.it) is scheduled for next 25 June at the Po di Tramontana Experimental Center for Horticulture in Rosolina (Ro) and will be focused on precise and integrated irrigation in horticulture, both in open fields and in greenhouses.
The program of the event, which among other things will be attended by the stands of about thirty specialized companies, provides from 9.30 to 12.30 a visit to the cultivations on flower beds, to roofs with organic mulch and to micro irrigation systems; in addition, visits to greenhouse trials are planned regarding the automation of irrigation systems and their ability to provide parameters for proceeding with the interventions. In the afternoon, from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm , a guided tour of the horticultural trials in the greenhouse is scheduled.
The day before ( June 24 ), but only for operators, an online training day is scheduled with demonstrations in the greenhouse and in the open field illustrated by the Veneto Agriculture technicians through live links on Facebook (https: // it- it.facebook.com/VenetoAgricoltura), also from the Centro Po di Tramontana.
In July, the 2021 Precision Irrigation Days include a day open to technicians and the public at the ValleVecchia Demonstration Pilot Company in Caorle-Ve ( 8 July ), focused on the theme of precision irrigation on arable land with visits to sprinkler systems and surface and underground micro-irrigation systems. The event will take place entirely on the field where specific areas will be reserved for the participating companies.
Finally, a final online training session reserved for technicians is scheduled for 22 July .
