The winners are all under forty and are Silvia Angelozzi for the category Wine Shops with a glass of wine, Daniele Liurni with the double prize Wine Shops with takeaway and Best Wine Shop in Rome Metropolitan City, Daniele Leopardi, Best Italian Wine Shop Owner Abroad in Paris , and Mattia Manganaro, Best Wine Shop Owner Under 30. What emerges from the Competition is an important element for the entire sector. Professional Wine Shop Owners are young, very well prepared and know how to combine sensitivity, communication and managerial skills, technical preparation and the ability to understand future trends. This last element is particularly important. From the competition tests it appears that even the greatest challenge for the wine sector, bringing wines closer to young people, can be won as long as we change our approach.
According to the winners of the Competition, young people consume wine if they are left free to choose, express themselves and interpret their own taste. It is therefore necessary to work "by subtraction", to tell less and involve more. This also means knowing how to listen, something that the world of wine often does little. The professional wine merchant, in this sense, can be the interpreter of thought and a trait d'union between consumer and producer.

Who is the Professional Winemaker?
The Enotecario is establishing itself as a complex and multifunctional figure, not limited to the simple sale of wine. In addition to advising on the choice of purchasing wines, it organizes courses for approaching wine, manages private tastings and offers personalized advice for the management of cellars.
Furthermore, the Enotecario is able to estimate the value of fine bottles, operating in a market monitored by the LivEx index which highlights the solidity of the sector even in times of crisis.
Last but not least, the Enotecario is an active communicator, collaborating with magazines, influencing social media and participating in juries of wine competitions, thus contributing to spreading the culture of wine.
