Assembly in Piangipane
The data were presented at the Budget Assembly held at the Teatro Socjale in Piangipane, which included speeches by Franco Donati, President of Terre Cevico, Linda Faggioli, Administrative and Financial Director, Paolo Galassi, General Manager, Eleonora Proni, Regional Councillor of the Emilia-Romagna Region, delegated by President De Pascale on his behalf, and Paolo Lucchi, President of Legacoop Romagna.
Terre Cevico President Franco Donati stated that " harvests are no longer excessive in quantity, and consumer choices are changing, becoming more attentive to well-being and contemporary conviviality. Thus, white, rosé, and sparkling wines are gaining ground, while full-bodied reds, often more expensive and with a high alcohol content, are showing signs of decline. New food trends are guiding us towards a consumption of light, fresh dishes, therefore paired with white, rosé, and sparkling wines. Red wines are obviously not disappearing, but in everyday life they are giving way to easier-drinking labels. The global scenario is also not helping, and conflicts in Eastern Europe and the Middle East, along with Trump's tariffs, are creating instability and insecurity. Terre Cevico, however, is looking ahead, and along with the generational change in governance, which must be prepared in advance, we will consider decisions within the company that must be made quickly regarding organizational and strategic aspects, especially regarding the role of red wines ."
Eleonora Proni , Councilor of the Emilia-Romagna Region delegated by President De Pascale, stated: " Sixty years of history and nearly a thousand members, in addition to being a significant milestone, are testimony to a robust cooperative structure rooted in Romagna with a national and international reach, encompassing 90 countries. We face numerous challenges: from climate change to changing lifestyles affecting consumption, to a geopolitical context that makes global trade difficult. Terre Cevico, with its strong value system and strong membership base, demonstrates that it has the strength and courage to face the uncertainties of a constantly evolving market ."
The closing remarks were delivered by Legacoop Romagna President Paolo Lucchi : " Terre Cevico's 2025 financial statements confirm the efficiency and transparency the group has maintained during a challenging period for the wine market, thanks in part to the organizational structure launched less than two years ago. And this is a good thing, as Terre Cevico is a leading example of a cooperative that places ten companies among the top 30 in Romagna in terms of economic capacity and size. What makes me particularly satisfied is the consistent approach to promoting native wines, particularly those from Romagna, the efficiency of logistics, and the focus on product and packaging innovation, which perfectly meets the demands of large-scale Italian retail trade, which represents over 70 percent of Cevico's market ."
