The educational harvest thus becomes a unique opportunity to experience firsthand the day that marks the beginning of a new production cycle.
This is not a simple visit, but a real guided tour: for a few hours the participants will be able to step into the shoes of those who live in the vineyard on a daily basis, learning to distinguish the most suitable bunches of grapes and to harvest them with the correct gestures.
From the vines to the cellar, this experience allows you to discover the secrets of harvesting and the initial stages of winemaking, accompanied by the Gradis'ciutta staff. The winemaker will illustrate the grape processing techniques and the organic approach that distinguishes the company's philosophy, based on caring for the vineyard and respect for the land.
The educational grape harvest will be offered throughout the entire harvest season , giving anyone the opportunity to participate over several days and enjoy an authentic experience in contact with nature. It's not just an educational activity, but also an opportunity to immerse yourself in the rhythm of the countryside and approach the world of wine with curiosity and a spirit of participation.
The cost is €50 per person. Space is limited and reservations are required. Contact the winery directly at +39 0481 390237 or visit their website. www.gradisciutta.it . Gradis'ciutta awaits you among the Collio vineyards to transform the grape harvest into a memory you'll take home with you.
SHORT COMPANY PROFILE
Founded in 1997 by Robert Princic , Gradis'ciutta is one of the most significant wineries in the Collio region of Friuli Venezia Giulia. With approximately 50 hectares of hillside vineyards in the municipalities of San Floriano del Collio, Gorizia, Capriva del Friuli, and Dolegna del Collio, the company represents a perfect balance between family tradition , winemaking innovation , and a profound respect for the local area . Guided by a sustainable philosophy and a production vision focused on biodiversity and quality, Gradis'ciutta obtained organic certification in 2018, culminating a long process of conversion to responsible viticulture. Its wines, produced primarily from native grape varieties such as Ribolla Gialla, Friulano, and Malvasia , but also from international varieties well-integrated into the territory, best express the richness and complexity of Ponca , the characteristic soil of the Collio. In addition to wine production, in 2022 the company inaugurated Borgo Gradis'ciutta , a hospitality facility born from the restoration of an ancient sixteenth-century building, today a place of hospitality and immersive experiences between nature, art, wine culture and local identity.
Gradis'ciutta is a family-run, cultural, and regional project, looking to the future with deep roots in the land and history of the Collio.
