Sol d’Oro 2014 decreed the best oils in the world. As well as 10 Italian oils and 5 Spanish oils were awarded.

The International Competition Sol d’Oro is now in its 12th edition. It is one of the most important competitions in the world of olive oil. Sol d’Oro 2014 has the purpose of promoting the winners in a number of initiatives, including the oppotunity to bear a label on the bottle indicating the award received and meet exclusively foreign buyers, in April, in the walk around tasting scheduled during the International Exhibition of Quality Agri–Food, which takes place alongside Vinitaly. The competition is organized by Veronafiere as a preview of Sol&Agrifood (6th to 9th April 2014, www.solagrifood.com)

“Even in this edition of Sol d’Oro – Damiano Berzacola, deputy chairman of VeronaFiere, said – we had the confirmation of the extraordinary quality of the oils in the competition presented by enterprises of all production areas in the world that recognize in Sol&Agrifood the only international stage to talk and to be heard. From September of this year, moreover, we will also present Sol d’Oro Southern Hemisphere to meet the needs of producers of that specific area. We will start from Chile and then continue every year in a country with high olive production, from New Zealand to Argentina: an initiative that adds an important step in the process of internationalization of the shows made in VeronaFiere”.
