In the warm and cozy rooms of BORGO San Lazzaro, in the historic center of Bergamo,
Carlo and Stefano continue the long tradition of the family. Their kitchen is connected with the scents and flavors of the Bergamo valleys, respects the rhythm of the seasons and explores, with passion and imagination, the rich regional culinary cultures. La Dispensa offers a range of high quality products selected from the best local suppliers and the winery offers a collection of fine and of the house wines.
The environment is informal, full of courtesy. It is characterized by the exhibitions of works by local artists presented in rotation and by a succession of ideas and initiatives that create a pleasantly varied and lively atmosphere. The cordiality, the friendliness, the quality of the menu, the variety of culinary offerings and events, make BORGO a restaurant that will remain in your heart.
Ol Giopì e la Margì restaurant, founded on October 27th, 1983, is the direct expression of taste, food traditions in the broad sense of the products of the territory of Bergamo in Lombardy, on the palate. It is situated in the old district of Bergamo Città Bassa, in a building of the eighteenth century, has a vaulted structure with exposed bricks, a typical feature of the inns of yesteryear. It offers regional cuisine with typical dishes reinterpreted in a modern and current way, as well as countless recipes created from scratch with local products. Courtesy and attention to the customer are, for us, essential characteristics, as well as the quality of our menus, who will not fail to savor the true ecstasy of taste to our guests.
Nice and original restaurant with different atmospheres, located in the center of Bergamo. We offer a casual, cheerful and comfortable environment, with air conditioning and outdoor courtyard.
At "Ciccio Passami l’Olio" you can enjoy the typical Mediterranean cuisine with fish and meat specialities, accompanied by a fine selection of wines.
By us you can arrange private parties, bachelor and bachelorette parties, business lunches and dinners, or celebrate special occasions (Valentine’s Day, Women’s Day, etc.).
Moreover, we organize parties for children also in the afternoon, with entertainment and the exclusive use of the rooms.
The first room of my venue is in VENETIAN in style, suitable for young and cheerful companies, tables surrounded by bright colors, original Venetian masks and high stools: you never know, water may rise.
The second room is called ETRUSCAN; the colors of the chairs are exactly those of the town that is home to me: Bergamo. From the arches, beautiful and ancient amphorae hang (hopefully not on your head), and, on the walls, there are original tapestries from the Etruscan civilization, hand–painted by artists of the Academy of Venice.
The third is the SARACEN room. The involving atmosphere recalls eastern worlds: dark tables, wooden chairs with high backs, each with an engraved cross. Raising your head, a beautiful starry blue sky, lit by colored lamps from Morocco and others in Murano blown glass.
Finally, my little outdoor COURTYARD that can be used even on rainy days. Right during the opening of "Ciccio" (2001) the centenary of Giuseppe Verdi was celebrated. In his honor, we have created a wall of cypress trees, with phrases of his operas written in gold.
