In the early eighties the Cigui family settled in Santa Barbara, in a rustic farmhouse, surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and fruit trees: the ideal environment to allow them to continue to remain faithful to the Istrian gastronomic traditions.


Taverna Cigui is today a classic example of a perfect blend of nature and genuine food, on the hill of Muggia overlooking the Gulf of Trieste and the Istrian coast.



Vineyards and olive trees provide raw materials to enhance the flavors. Fruits and vegetables from own gardens are also another essential element to enrich the menu.



The atmosphere is friendly and familiar, the menu follows the course of the seasons, whether it is fish or vegetables or other things.

Taverna Cigui is about ten minutes from the A4 motorway, while the Slovenian border is in the immediate vicinity. Taverna Cigui is also easily accessible from Austria via Ljubljana (Slovenia).

Our hotel, small but well–kept (we have 11 rooms, all with bathrooms, satellite TV, telephone), is located in the charming scenery of the bay of Sistiana, destination since the early years of the century of the Austrian aristocracy, which used to spend the summer and autumn month bathing in the sea and in the near Roman baths of Monfalcone.

From the Istrian tradition, in the vibrant and sometimes turbulent history of our lands, various people met: mainly Italians, Slavs and Germans. Everyone brought its contribution to the civilization that took shape here, including culinary uses and foods. From this original intersection, the gastronomic traditions of our land was created. A tradition made of a wide variety of dishes, which reflects our history: the essentiality of Mediterranean flavors – in the case of Alla Dama Bianca, particularly from Dalmatia " sometimes combined with full"bodied flavors of the dishes derived from the Balkans and Central Europe.

In the heart of Udine, a stone’s throw from Piazza San Giacomo, Osteria Alle Volte is located.

The restaurant’s entrance is at No. 4 of Via Mercatovecchio, reachable through a short hallway that opens onto a courtyard where in a tiny, cozy courtyard, in the warm season you can eat outside.

From the courtyard, then you enter the restaurant, which is located in a wonderful atmosphere, made of ribbed vaults supported by columns on stone, and the tavern, although its main entrance is located at No. 6 of Via Merceria, which connects Via Mercatovecchio with the most beautiful square of Udine, formerly known as Delle Erbe or San Giacomo.

The tavern has the prerogative to offer, along with the typical tajut, also appetizers that accompany the wide range of wines from Friuli and not.

Osteria Al Guscio has been present in Lignano Sabbiadoro since 1971 to delight you with extraordinary dishes.

From the experience gained by the manager Aldo Sinigaglia, the dishes offered by Osteria Al Guscio, ranging from the most traditional to the most imaginative, are created.



A unique place in a comfortable and quiet environment, with a great summer veranda, where you can enjoy seafood dishes accompanied by fine wines.

To do this, it is enough to look into our hearts and seek a common passion: THE SEA.



From the sea, of course, we pass to a means that fulfills all the characteristics to be as versatile as possible, from the sea to the lagoons, to rivers offering passengers all the comforts of a serene and safe navigation, combining the pleasures of sailing, the pleasures of a good table, rediscovering on board the flavors of the ancient recipes of Marano.

The idea stems from two young people of Marano that, given the growing development of tourism in the region and the crisis that interested in the fisheries sector, decided, instead, to embark on this adventure, strong of the unique quality of the service they are going to offer, having, in the course of their lives, accumulated considerable experience both in the field of food service and in tourism.



From an accurate research on the yachting market and, after a careful technical assessment environment, the basic features that the ship had to meet were especially low draught and a high capacity of seating, for this, research was quite challenging, but not without effort, we got a means that gave great freedom of movement both along the lagoon canals and rivers and along the sea coast in compliance with all safety standards for both people on board and for the issue of water pollution.



Another factor to remember was the kitchen: it had to be practical and functional but at the same time small and non–invasive for the passenger, for this, the kitchen was arranged at the extreme bow and equipped with an aspiration system worthy of the finest restaurants.



To mark with a pencil on the chart the way that the ship will have to go, is a gesture that every sailor does with respect and devotion. That gesture identifies the exact moment when you will leave the earth with its safety and entrust yourself to the ship and the sea, completely. The choice of the route to follow is dictated by the research of emotions and pleasures that the lagoon can give, accompanied by that attentive technical evaluation that a safe navigation requires. All of these routes include navigation along the Venetian coast, from the Roman Empire to the Republic of Venice. The Port of departure is usually Marano Lagunare, but we can decide together an alternate route to satisfy your demand. The boarding point of Marano Lagunare is in Cristoforo Colombo square, also known by the Marano people as the "Door of the Sea". Here, since ancient times, ships arrived with goods and vessels, carrying their catch in this square at the Old Fish Market, a place to meet and talk among seafarers.

Osteria del Mare was founded by an idea of Fabio and Sonia who, in 2008, give life to a venue where they offer a cuisine based on fresh fish, cooked in the Romagna Riviera style.

You vsn find also delicious grilled meats.



The Tavern offers you the "Saving Driving Licence" service, providing a shuttle bus, to take you to taste our specialties in complete tranquility, at a modest price.

Agriturismo Alle Ortensie

The activity was initiated as part of the farm house in 1989 with the opening of a small tasting venue of local products of the company.

The farm house is named "Alle Ortensie" from the name of the holder, Ortensia, who assisted by her husband Enzo and her sons Fabio and Massimo, day after day, made that the fame of the "Alle Ortensie" farm house is equal to the quality of the products offered and goes well beyond regional boundaries.

The country house, renovated with taste, especially maintaining and enhancing that traditional architecture of the typical buildings of Friuli, expresses sobriety and elegance, and immediately puts guests at ease at the same time emphasizing a cozy but elegant environment, simple but tasteful, so much to make the guest feel at home.

Agriturismo La Lobie

Situated in a modern rural warehouse with a wide courtyard and car park, La Lobie is also direct sale.



It offers customers restaurant service and direct sale of vegetables, fruits, salami and homemade wines.



Every morning, from Tuesday to Saturday, you will find us in Piazza San Giacomo, in Udine, with our fresh fruit and vegetable products, while within the farmhouse a selling point has been set up, always well–provided with bread, cheese, seasonal products, products in oil and in vinegar, homemade salami from pigs reared outdoors and fed with local cereals.
