A bit of history ...
The stately home Via dell’Oro 23, now "Kaltererhof" restaurant–pizzeria, was founded at the beginning of the 17th century (1610) by the local Pedranz family.
This family had estates in the center of Caldaro and also in S. Antonio. A member of the family, Carl Pedraur, had the office of judge of Caldaro and Laimburg in 1655. Probably it was him who built this magnificent Renaissance building. As a judge, he enjoyed great consideration and financial possibilities that allowed him to carry out this typical building of the Oltradige area.
Over the centuries, the building was purchased firstly by a wine merchant and later by an innkeeper. In 1980, the original wine stores have been converted into a restaurant.
The elegance of furniture highlights the environmental harmony with the historic vaulted ceiling.
The restaurant has rooms that are ideal for celebrating special occasions, buffet halls, a terrace and private parking.
