Ristorante Fiorentino Del Giglio

V. Pacioli 60
52037 Sansepolcro (Arezzo)
Italy
The restaurant, founded in 1807 by a senior official of Napoleon, is located in the heart of Sansepolcro and is adjacent to the Piero della Francesca Museum.

The building retains elements of the late Renaissance and presents also architectural motifs of the early twentieth century. The large Renaissance living room, with a wood coffered ceiling and a beautiful fireplace, is a dining room: privacy is guaranteed by two rooms divided by a two–faced fireplace. Since more than half a century, the restaurant is owned by the Uccellini family. With respect for tradition, fresh products are offered daily: typical appetizers and particularly well made pasta dishes, rolled out by hand pasta, local dishes and traditional of the ancient Renaissance cuisine specialities, homemade sweets. Each dish is paired with excellent Tuscan wines. Meals, softened by the scent of jasmine plants, lemons, oranges and aromatic herbs, can be consumed among ancient buildings, thanks to a wooden platform, or on the terrace overlooking the road of Sansepolcro. In the guest book signatures of famous people of the present and the past are recognizable. Many are the awards and the recognitions in the tourism repertoire, also international.
