ITALIAN WINE AND OENOLOGY

Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi is the protagonist

Growing recognition for one of Italy's great ageable white wines. The Marche region continues to invest in quality, elegance, and international recognition.

The microbiota becomes the protagonist of the terroir

The latest research confirms the fundamental role of microorganisms present in the soil and vine in defining the identity of wine. The microbiota plays a key role in shaping modern terroir, alongside climate, soil, and human intervention.

The Wine of the Gods: Nesos

On Elba Island, production continues of one of the world's most unique wines. Only 270 bottles are produced annually, using a 2,500-year-old Greek technique that involves immersing the grapes in the sea before vinification.

Wine tourism on the rise

According to the ilGolosario Wine Tour Observatory:

  • visits to the winery are increasing;
  • direct sales are growing;
  • Immersive experiences between wine, gastronomy and hospitality are consolidated.

Wine tourism remains one of the main drivers of growth in the sector.
