Italian wineries

• Harvest Festival 2025 – Terre del Barolo Winery Two days of celebrations and collective remembrance in Castiglione Falletto, the heart of the Langhe.
• Bosco del Sasso joins the Buttafuoco Storico Club. The Pavia winery joins the association that protects the symbol of the Oltrepò region.

Italian wine

• Italian wine and exports: the first half of 2025 is precariously balanced, with a 0.4% drop in value and a 3.1% drop in volume. The US and Canada are holding up, while Russia, Germany, the UK, and Asia are struggling.
• Wine and large-scale retail consumption: volumes drop, values hold up (0.7%). Purchases in large-scale retail trade are decreasing, the only format showing growth is the bag-in-box.
• Sardinia excels in the 2026 Slow Wine guide. Seven producers win the prestigious “Bottle”.

Italian enology

• The wine paradox? Producing too much and then demanding distillation. Slow Food Italy, with its president Barbara Nappini, proposes a paradigm shift toward agroecology.

International enology

• Italy and Slovenia: Border vineyards become works of art. Ars Sine Finibus transforms the cross-border vineyards into a permanent art park.

• Il Gusto dei Guidi 2025 – Poppi The Casentino village opens its secret cellars for an event that combines history and wine.
• Women in Wine Tasting in Lazio and Tuscany – Rome, September 17th Native grape varieties described by producers and experts.
• Vini ad Arte – Faenza, September 22nd Twenty years of Sangiovese di Romagna, with masterclasses and 60 wineries.
• EnoVinando – Vitorchiano, September 24-27 Four days with over 800 labels from all over Italy and dedicated masterclasses.
• Hong Kong International Wine and Spirits Fair – November 6-8 The Italian Trade Agency (ITA) brings Italian companies to Asia's leading trade fair.

Oenology and innovation
