The European Union is proposing to introduce wording similar to that on cigarette packets on wine labels, a measure criticized by Giorgio Polegato, president of Coldiretti Treviso and the Veneto winemaking council, who considers this choice an attack on the identity and tradition of the wine sector.
• Puglia: two calls to support the competitiveness of wineries The Puglia Region's agriculture councilor announces two calls dedicated to the restructuring of vineyards and the qualitative improvement of Puglia's wineries, with the aim of strengthening the regional wine sector.
