«The climatic upheaval in progress and which has also hit Northern Italy hard, causing a strong excursion in temperatures and, consequently, an oscillation between extreme heat and violent as well as freezing hailstorms, will not compromise the quality of Montalbera's production». Words from Franco Morando, General Manager of Montalbera, an estate that extends between the territories of Monferrato and Langa, namely: 120 hectares in Castagnole Monferrato, wine treasures cultivated in Ruchè, Barbera, Grignolino, Viognier, Monferrato Nebbiolo, to which 15 hectares are added to Castiglione Tinella, birthplace of the progenitor of the Enrico Riccardo Morando family, areas characterized by a very high production quality where, moreover, Moscato d'Asti, Chardonnay and, also here, Viognier are grown. According to Franco Morando «the harvest will also be anticipated in Piedmont, with an estimated start from mid-August». The Montalbera winery of the Morando family includes internationally awarded brands such as Ruchè "Laccent", Barbera d'Asti "Nuda" Grignolino d'Asti "Lanfora" and the new entry "Nizza 2021".
