The Alta Langa Premiere at the Teatro Regio in Turin

The 2024 Alta Langa Premiere will be held next Monday 18 March , from 10am to 5.30pm , at the Teatro Regio in Turin , one of the largest theaters in Europe and one of the most famous opera-symphonic institutions on the national scene, with with which the Alta Langa Consortium has entered into a partnership since last summer.

The great tasting of Alta Langa wines currently on the market is reserved for an audience of professional operators : wine sellers, restaurateurs, barmen, HoReCa operators, buyers, distributors, journalists.

To access the event it is necessary to register in the dedicated area of the Consortium website altalangadocg.com .

This is the sixth edition of the event which over the years has moved to different places united by beauty: the first two editions took place at the Grinzane Cavour Castle, one edition in Milan, at Palazzo Serbelloni, and one in Turin, inside of the Italdesign Museum where the iconic “Terra” glass was presented. The most recent edition, in May 2023, took place inside the suggestive Royal Palace of Venaria.

Sixty-five producers from Alta Langa will be present at the great tasting at the Teatro Regio with their own tasting table, over 150 labels including new cuvées and some old vintages

Two masterclasses (limited number of places, by reservation) will accompany the public in learning more about the aging potential of Alte Bollicine Piemontesi. It will also be possible to visit behind the scenes of the Theater accompanied by a guide.

This is the comment of Mariacristina Castelletta , president of the Alta Langa Consortium : “Year after year, edition after edition, the Alta Langa Consortium event grows and consolidates, as does our team: if in the first edition of 2018 the producers present at the there were 18 events, with around 40 labels for tasting, last year in Venaria there were 60 companies with 150 different wines. The Prima dell'Alta Langa confirms itself as the opportunity to taste a very wide selection of Alte Piedmontese sparkling wines, meet the producers and come into full contact with the spirit of a denomination that is clearly developing, in Italy and beyond".
