Piacenza Expo, Wine Fair 2025: between glasses, culture, and stories to discover

From November 22nd to 24th, 2025, Piacenza will once again be the capital of wine and wine culture with the new edition of the Fiera dei Vini , a market exhibition that will bring together winemakers, experts, professionals, and enthusiasts in the exhibition pavilion. The three-day event will offer guided tastings and literary initiatives, showcasing wine not only as a pleasure in the glass but also as an opportunity to network with over 200 producers from 18 Italian regions, as well as Austria, France, Georgia, and Slovenia. Five masterclasses are scheduled , guiding visitors through the diverse expressions of the European food and wine scene. On Saturday, November 22nd , at 2:00 PM , Bollicine on Stage: Territories and Methods of Italian Toasting will take place, a journey to demonstrate how Italy has become one of the leading players in the global sparkling wine scene. This will be followed at 5:00 PM by Armonie in Rosso: Native Grape Varieties and Landscapes of Italy , an in-depth look at Italy's great red wines and the lands that preserve their history. On Sunday, November 23rd , at the same time, it will be the turn of Bianchi senza confini: Le identite regionali e il fascina della diversi (Whites without Borders: Regional Identities and the Charm of Diversity ), a discovery of aromatic profiles and territorial peculiarities , and Passioni dolci e passite (Sweet and Dried Passions: Stories and Traditions) , a journey that highlights wines capable of testifying to timeless conviviality. On Monday, November 24th , at 12:00 PM, the focus will shift to extra virgin olive oil, thanks to the tasting entitled Anima Mediterranea: Anima e eccellenza degli oli italiani (Mediterranean Soul: Excellence and Character of Italian Oils), led by Luigi Caricato , editor of the magazine Olio Officina . All masterclasses are by reservation , with a special ticket in addition to the entrance ticket: those on wine cost 15 euros each while the tasting dedicated to oil is offered at the special price of 5 euros .

Alongside the guided tastings, Filari di Libri will also return, the cultural section of the event that intertwines wine, history, and literature. Among the protagonists of the 2025 event will be the book club Viticultura – Where Books Meet Wine. with the special format "If your winery were a book, which one would it be?", a choral narrative that will give voice to eight winemakers and the stories of their companies. On Saturday, November 22, food and wine journalist Vincenzo D'Antonio will introduce his work Camera con Vigna , dedicated to more than 150 wineries that have chosen to integrate wine tourism with comfortable and elegant charming residences, creating a unique offering of tastings and hospitality. Also as part of Filari di Libri, A Territory of...Wine. A Guide to the Wineries of the Piacenza Hills will be presented, which celebrates the local winemaking heritage and the indissoluble bond with the landscape and naturalistic scenery. The author of this publication is Journalist Robert Gionelli , who traveled through Piacenza's four main valleys—Val Tidone, Val Trebbia, Val Nure, and Val d'Arda—recorded 170 wineries, chronicling their history, terroir, ancient farming traditions, and the types of wines they produce.
