The Wine Fair returns to Piacenza and involves the city

Over 310 exhibitors from 20 Italian regions are preparing to meet the public of the   The Piacenza Wine Fair , scheduled for November 14th to 16th at Piacenza Expo , will combine tasting and direct purchase with new opportunities to learn about wine through cuisine, entertainment, and culture .

Among the new features for 2026 is Osteria Piacentina , a gastronomic space born from the collaboration between a young, local collective and the Consortium for the Protection of Piacenza DOP Salumi . Inside the pavilions, the osteria will offer a journey through local specialties, from savory to sweet , illustrating the local products and gastronomic traditions through its dishes.

The program is also enriched with Diversamente TALK , two events that transform tasting into a participatory experience using games as a key to exploring the world of wine . On Saturday, November 14th at 5:00 pm, Fabrizio - @winestreamer, Luca Della Regina - @lucadellaregina and Matteo Castignoli - @anticatrattoriadellangelo will be the captains of Il Gioco dell'Oca Cieca , a blind tasting challenge in three rounds, each with three teams and prizes up for grabs. On Sunday, November 15th at 11:00 am, Claudia Spagnolo, founder of My VinApp , food and wine journalist Antonello Maietta and Elisa Fiore Gubellini of Wine Angels will lead La tombola delle 99 occasioni , an event inspired by Maietta's book Finché c'è vite, c'è speranza . Participants will select a grape variety, in a discussion that will alternate anecdotes, reflections and provocations.

Wine will also be a key focus outside the pavilions thanks to Piacenza Food & Wine Week , with a calendar of events spread across the city. On Wednesday, November 4th at 6:00 pm , the Spazio Enoteca at Eataly Piacenza will host the opening of the 2026 Fiera dei Vini National Photography Competition , which has involved over 50 photographers and enthusiasts from across Italy. The inauguration will be accompanied by a selection of labels also present at the Fiera dei Vini . The selected works will remain on display throughout the month of November, and the public will be able to cast their vote via a QR code. The popular jury prize will be awarded on Sunday, November 15th , during the market exhibition.

On Friday, November 13th, at 6:00 p.m. , at the Sant'Ilario Auditorium in Piacenza , the Viticultura book club will present "Georges Cogny. Story of a Chef," along with author Martina Picca . The free event will also feature Davide Valla , president of the Sette Colli association, and Stefano Pizzamiglio , president of the Colli Piacentini Wine and Flavor Route, for a conversation that will intertwine cuisine, wine, and local history.

On Sunday, November 15th, at 8:30 pm , a dinner with producers will be held at the Da Romano restaurant in Cadeo (Piacenza), organized in collaboration with Promis Group Gruparel and Fisar Piacenza . The evening will involve three businesses also present at the event, with a package that includes a pizza and three glasses of wine, one for each, for €25. During the three-day market, the "Sappiamo qualcosa? Diversamente" Masterclass will debut, the new format of guided tastings for the 2026 edition. Nine 45-minute sessions, dedicated to wines, Champagne, and gin, will offer a less rigid approach to tasting, encouraging direct dialogue with the participants. Among the in-depth discussions, a focus on Malvasia di Candia Aromatica , a particularly representative grape of the Piacenza Hills, will be presented through tastings of six interpretations from different soils and areas.
