The eleventh edition of Gustus - Vini e Sapori di Vicenza arrives on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 October 2021 at the “Arrigo Pedrollo” Conservatory of Music in Vicenza. A weekend to listen to and taste in the tasting tables of the producers of the DOC Colli Berici, Vicenza and Gambellara, tastings of local cuisine and good music played by the students of the Conservatory. On Sunday 24 October, the wines for tasting will even be accompanied by the creations of Nicola Portinari de La Peca , a two-star Michelin restaurant in Lonigo, based on seasonal products. Also on Sunday at 5.30 pm a masterclass is scheduled with a focus on Vicenza whites: limestone vs basalt , which will investigate the influence of the terroir on the wines produced in the area, with the moderation of Gianpaolo Giacobbo of Slow Wine. On the other hand, Saturday's in-depth analysis with the journalist Antonio Paolini, who will lead Taglio or purità? Identity in comparison , where the red wines produced on the Berici Hills will be tasted together with others from different parts of the world. The event will be an opportunity to meet 25 producers from companies in the Berici, Vicenza and Gambellara Hills who will tell their wines and their stories in the evocative cloister of the Conservatory. There will be over 100 labels for tasting, including the native Tai Rosso and Garganega , the white Pinot Grigio and Sauvignon and the great reds based on Cabernet , Merlot and Carménère . This year the organization of Gustus at the Conservatory will also have a charitable purpose: to finance the restoration of a fresco inside the building , kept in the Marcella Pobbe Concert Hall. The tasting counters of Gustus will be open to the public from 17.00 to 22.00 on Saturday 23 and from 17.00 to 21.00 on Sunday 24 October . Admission will be regulated according to the regulations for anti-Covid health security and can only be accessed after showing the green pass or CDC pass.
