VALTÈNESI IN…: THE TERRITORY TELLS ITS STORY THROUGH WINE, CUISINE, AND ROSÉ CULTURE

Valtènesi, the birthplace of one of Italy's most distinctive rosés and a region with a strong wine tourism vocation, presents VALTÈNESI IN …, a project that from early May to late June brings together restaurants, the world of wine, and cultural events, offering a collaborative and contemporary narrative of the Brescia Riviera of Lake Garda. This initiative, conceived to celebrate the region's identity, is promoted by the Valtènesi Consortium and supported by top-tier partners. Its goal is to engage enthusiasts and professionals in a journey of flavor and discovery.

VALTÈNESI IN … will be divided into three different initiatives:

The VALTÈNESI IN … journey begins with Valtènesi in tavola , an initiative involving a selection of 30 local restaurants, each invited to offer tasting menus inspired by Valtènesi and its rosés. An invitation to be guided through a story where each dish becomes an authentic expression of the Garda landscape. A harmonious dialogue between cuisine and wine, capturing the full identity and emotion of this land overlooking the Brescia shore of Lake Garda.

Valtènesi on the table… at the Casa del Vino

The institutional heart of the project is the Casa del Vino della Valtènesi , housed in the historic Villa Galnica in Puegnago del Garda, home of the Valtènesi Consortium and a hub for promoting the appellation. Here, four exclusive dinners take place, reserved for 60 guests per appointment, organized with the support of Gambero Rosso, a long-standing strategic partner in promoting Valtènesi wines nationwide.

The highlight of VALTÈNESI IN … is Valtènesi in Rosa , the most important national event dedicated exclusively to Valtènesi rosé wines. The 2026 edition takes place, as is tradition, in the enchanting setting of the medieval castle of Moniga del Garda, overlooking the lake. The event offers three evenings of mindful tasting, a distinctive format that involves tasting each wine only once, to promote a responsible and qualitative approach to drinking. Over 100 Valtènesi rosé labels, food areas featuring local specialties, and opportunities to meet producers illustrate the identity of a denomination that for 130 years has made rosé its signature style and the original expression of the territory.

Valtènesi in Rosa will officially open on Friday, May 22nd at 5:00 PM with a conference "Valtènesi in Rosa: 130 Years Since the Birth of the Molmenti Method" at Villa Brunati Bertanzi in Moniga del Garda. This will be followed by a guided tasting, led by Artur Vaso, of the finalist wines in the Molmenti Trophy, which, also on Thursday, will award the best Valtènesi rosé. This opportunity for discussion, open to producers, institutions, and the press, is designed to explore the region's identity and the role of rosé as its distinctive expression. The conference will focus on the 130-year history of rosé in Valtènesi, highlighting its stylistic evolution, its connection to the Garda landscape, and future prospects in terms of marketing and communication. Representatives of the Consortium, the Mayor of Moniga, and the President of CIVP Provence will be present, testifying to and strengthening the synergistic dialogue between two territories united by a historic rosé vocation.
