MASI, Sandro Boscaini awarded on the occasion of the Centenary of OIV

Sandro Boscaini was awarded today at the event for the centenary of OIV - among the most representative intergovernmental organizations in the world with 50 member states - organized by the Italian Academy of Vine and Wine (Aivv) in Florence at the Accademia dei Georgofili.

The President of Masi received the recognition from Luigi Moio , President of OIV, as an Academician of AIVV and supporter of OIV for the scholarship program for the training of young professionals in the sector.

Together with him, Rosario Di Lorenzo , President of the Italian Academy of Vine and Wine, and Massimo Vincenzini , President of the Georgofili Academy, received the glass, the bottle and the pin celebrating the anniversary.

“I am extremely honored to be present at the celebration for 100 years of OIV as an academic and as President of the sixth member company of its 'Consortium', made up of important wine-growing companies that support the organization in terms of Research and Development . In fact, since 2023 Masi has been the only one to represent Italy in this prestigious group. The recognition received today is a tribute to our company and to the commitment of over four decades of our Technical Group which, through its consolidated presence in the most important international scientific contexts and its historic seminar at Vinitaly, makes a constant contribution to knowledge of the world of wine, native grapes and the oenological expressions of our country" declared Sandro Boscaini, President of Masi Agricola .
