MASI Conti Bossi Fedrigotti protagonist at Trentodoc Festival 2023

In the frame of the Trentodoc Festival, the event dedicated to mountain sparkling wines in its second edition, the Conti Bossi Fedrigotti winery opened its doors for a visit to the historic Maso San Giorgio and a sit-down dinner accompanied by the Conte Federico Riserva Brut. A unique opportunity to taste five different vintages of Trento Doc Riserva Metodo Classico disgorged at the moment: from 2008, which amazed with its freshness and liveliness, to the 2019 vintage presented as a preview. The elegant sparkling wine vinified from the traditional Chardonnay and Pinot Noir blend and characterized by its long stay on the yeasts, has demonstrated its evolutionary capacity and aging potential.

The guests were welcomed by the Countesses Maria José and Isabella Bossi Fedrigotti and by Sandro, Raffaele and Giacomo Boscaini, historic producers in Valpolicella at the helm of the Masi Agricola Group of which the Conti Bossi Fedrigotti Cellars have been part since 2007.

As we learn from the family's historical documents, since the 19th century the Conti produced the “schampagne”: the tradition continues with Conte Federico, a classic method characterized by an unmistakable bouquet. For this special evening we selected five iconic vintages, through which guests were able to appreciate the aromatic complexity and longevity of this wine of extraordinary elegance."

The CONTI BOSSI FEDRIGOTTI family has been rooted in Trentino, in Rovereto, for almost 600 years and has been producing wine for more than 300, passing down the passion for their land and the characteristic wines that express the aromas and flavors of the Dolomites. This heritage, symbol of the noble Trentino winemaking tradition, is enhanced throughout the world by the experience of the Masi Group, of which it has been part since 2007.

Among the generations of Bossi Fedrigotti winemakers, the farsighted figure of Count Federico stands out, father of the current owners, who gave great impetus to the production of the company's wines and who in 1961 created Fojaneghe , the first Bordeaux style wine in Italy produced from Cabernet and Merlot grapes. The sparkling wine protagonist of the tasting, the Conte Federico Trentodoc Riserva Brut, is dedicated to his name.
