Presence at the fair alongside the other members of the "Travel Retail Fine Wine Alliance", which this year rises to six of the world's largest producers .
Renewed presence of the Veronese winery Masi Agricola among the premium brands of the TFWA World Exhibition & Conference in Cannes , the international exhibition dedicated to Duty-Free and Travel Retail, from Monday 1st to Thursday 5th October at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès in Cannes, at the Blue Village - stand F4 .
Masi, among the first wine companies to enter the Duty Free sector, will participate in the fair with a focus on its wines dedicated to this specific channel, Nectar Campofiorin and Nectar Costasera, special selections of the two iconic wines of Masi Campofiorin and Costasera, characterized by a greater presence of Corvina grapes, the nectar of Valpolicella.
Campofiorin, also in the Nectar version, with the 2020 vintage which will be presented at the fair, is renewed in the appearance and style of the wine . The label of the original Supervenetian has been expanded with the addition of a background that supports and enhances the oval with the historic cornucopia, in which the red logo stands out with a light golden outline . The wine is characterized by a slight stylistic evolution: a slight delay in the harvest and an increase in the percentage of dried grapes to obtain an even more harmonious, rounded and enveloping product, with a more integral and pleasant fruity component.
The TFWA World Exhibilition will also be an opportunity to preview the 2019 vintage of Nectar Costasera, which is characterized by the pre-eminence of the Corvina grape which gives the wine richness of fruit, with pleasant hints of cherry, and great softness and pleasantness. This iconic Masi product will also be presented with slight updates to the packaging that renew its image, while always remaining true to itself.
“ In almost 60 years Campofiorin has created a real category, that of the Supervenetians, becoming its undisputed leader; flag of Made in Italy, it is distributed in over 140 countries with a real omnichannel: catering, hotels, specialized wine shops, large-scale retail trade, online and travel retail ” explains Pier Giuseppe Torresani Export and Travel Retail Sales Director of Masi . “ Campofiorin is rightfully part of the global icon products that enjoy transversal distribution and are must-haves for those who propose them and for those who purchase them. Products that are at home at all latitudes due to their eclecticism and iconicity ."
The TFWA public will also be presented with a novelty regarding Fresco di Masi, the line that interprets a new vision of sustainability : two organic, vegan wines, produced from grapes vinified immediately after harvesting, unfiltered, without passage in wood . The new 2022 vintage is in fact preserved in the distinctive "Masi Bottle" , the result of the collaboration between the historic wine company, Piero Lissoni, an internationally renowned architect and designer, and Verallia, a global point of reference in the design and supply of glass containers.
The innovative project is based on a production ethic in the name of sustainability : creating a light bottle - it weighs 33% less than the average bottle of similarly positioned wines - to generate a "virtuous circle"; decreasing the quantity of glass means reducing the raw material for production and decreasing the amount of energy needed during processing, transport and handling. The search for lightness was accompanied by that of aesthetics and design, obtaining a thin and elegant and at the same time resistant bottle .
The Masi stand (Blue Village, F4) will also this year be adjacent to that of the other associated members of the " Travel Retail Fine Wine Alliance ", a collaboration established to synergistically promote good wine in the ever-rapidly evolving world of Travel Retail. This year the “Wine Alliance” includes six of the world's largest producers, including, in addition to Masi, Albert Bichot, Cono Sur, González Byass, Symington and Famille Perrin of Châteauneuf du Pape .
Appointment with the six wineries also for an " Exclusive Tasting" on Tuesday 3 October at 5.30 pm at Mandala Beach along the Croisette. Each will feature two of its most prestigious wines available globally; For Masi, in addition to the Nectar Costasera 2018 , the tasting will also include the Amarone cru Mazzano 2007 , a prestigious old vintage from the Cantina Privata Boscaini collection
